You're a top bloke for surviving and making it , let alone being willing to talk about to help others .There is life after it mate . It takes time to adjust to life sober but eventually it becomes your normal and you wont see alcohol as the release ever again. Its great when you realise you can love yourself. One day at a time is the right approach. Better still, focus on the here and now I found helped a lot.

This video has just managed to reach me at a very significant time. I had been sober for roughly a year after ending up in hospital 3x with acute pancreatitis. It is the most consistent extreme pain I have ever experienced in my life. They said if I did not go into hospital that would have been it for me. I managed to stay sober up until about three weeks ago. Then it was vodka every night until I black out. I can feel the same symptoms as before but very mild and I said to myself once the pain kicks in there's no going back because the damage will be done and it will mean hospital. I managed to go on again off again over the last few nights and tonight is my sober night. Your video has just hit me so hard on the significance of staying sober and I feel tuning into your videos would be a great way to stay on top of sobriety myself. I cannot thank you enough for choosing to create a youtube and share your story. And I cannot believe you have managed to reach me at such a life altering time. You really have managed to reach me right before I was about to self destruct with the end result being the end of the road. Thank you.

Tbh, im going through the same thing. I didnt know from my GP, what was the liver issues. He said steam food its just minor. If I knew how bad it was i would have done more research which changed my diets everything, but i wasnt told not only low sodium and low sugar, which r bad. I was diagnosed in feb,2023.
My fluid was drained 12ltr instead of half. No meds and diet restrictions. Now today Im told i have colonscopy test. I am nervous.
So are you taking protien etc?

My last drink was just a jelly with a shot of vodka, i think🤔, on dec 22,2023.
      After my third shot
of covid. I came down with pneumonia. I took alot of paracetamol and ginger soda with salt. But fever just didn't go. I was walking around lik a air balloon waiting to get defused. I was being strong for my twins. The fluid should been drained at er, but i was discharged. Just got worse. Finally I was drained. But I blew up on the third day.
Went another hospital, I had a blood clot. Was in hospital for 2 weeks. But im trying to gain muscle strength. So my diet restrictions r low, low sodium, sugar and fluids.. I am om meds..I just hate the meds. 🇬🇧 back home 3 weeks ago in the UK, I just craved fish n chips with loads of salt and vinegar, but I walked ran pass the chippy.
      We will get through this.
Its a healing process when we r being heard. 😊

I stopped drinking 5 weeks ago. It’s the longest I’ve stopped drinking for a long time. I never classed myself as alcoholic but when I drunk I always felt worse afterwards. I decided that there is a lot more to life than drinking but our English culture is a drinking culture. I am 38 now and planning to never drink again.
