Meeting your girlfriend’s family for the first time can be tough. Planning to propose at her family’s annual Christmas dinner - until you realize that they don’t even know she’s gay - is even harder. This movie is so wonderful and so important. I've been both Abby and Harper before, and to "see myself" on screen like that is something i never expected. Thank you to Clea and Hulu and everyone involved.
Kristen has more range than most actors. Shes done almost every weird genre at this point and been great in all of them.
Finally someone else can see this. She gets a bad wrap for playing Bella but she played her exactly as she was written

This film is so beautiful, full of different emotions: love, compassion, sadness, and joy, of course...It's incredible! Kristen Stewart is awesome. She proves again that she is a great actress. Dan Levi and Mary Holland are magical. Not to mention the others who bring so much substance. Can't wait to have it on DVD
Representation Matters! Hoping this movie makes studios aware that we need more LGBTQ+ content!
If that was really the case, this movie wouldn’t be on a streaming service where the movie is shared with a lot of other content. One wonders how this movie would have done had it been theatrically released as planned where movies still have to have enough people going to see it in the theaters to be profitable, when only 4 1/2% of Americans are LGBT, and only a little more than half of a percentage of Americans are transgendered or otherwise non-binary.
and i loved that abby and harper get together without the end of the film, relationships have problems and we can fix and improve and lesbian women can be good friends like abby and riley.
Please, clea duvall, make a sequel to the wedding of abby and harper

this movie was fantastic, such a great storyline and wonderful ending and plot, i love kristen so much and have been following her forever, and witnessing her be this glorious, incredible woman, has been the best experience.

Well the story of Abby and Harper, technical had been
told during the opening of the movie
They met as a Christmas party. Abbie's friend introduced them. They started spending time with eachother. On Abbie's birthday March 14th (I think) Harper bought her the necklace that she wore throughout the movie. They'd only been together for a year then this follows.

This movie needs a prequel as well as a sequel. The animated sequence at the start did not establish their relationship in a way that did it justice.

they were really good together, and I really into Mac's role, its always a all-time high of fear and insecure when you gotta hide yourself in front of your beloved ones, and Mackenzie really nailed it if you guys hated her role, becuz in reality, LGBT people actually struggle that way, and sometimes they got carried away too. In general I love the movie, I love the roles and how they developed the characters, its just natural and heart-warming seeing them getting engaged after 1 year, not like Abby's plan of proposing in the Christmas's Eve.
