Shayla Wilson English and music double majors in my youth. Trained to listen (and enjoy!🥰) everything but painfully shy too...Did not enjoy singing solo (lead) and stopped shortly before retirement. Happy the Jonas Family are thriving and entertaining us in different ways! 🌹🎼🎸
To everyone wondering why he didn't sing more, I remember multiple interview of him saying they would've let him but he was too shy and didn't want to. Seems like it was all his choice
Not that he didn't "sing more," he literally didn't sing for Sucker at all. There's no lower harmony or anything (which he did do sometimes in the past).
He's not that good in my opinion anyway.

@@stratosp2542 He literally had a solo song in that whole show you're referencing. And Joe and Nick, at the height of their popularity, were hardly good singers. Passable at best at the time. From all evidence, Kevin would have not negatively stood out singing.
If totally makes sense to me that Kevin prefers to let his brothers sing and doesn't particularly care about the limelight. He's clearly a supportive kind of guy, he was the first to settle down and have kids and has never pursued fame outside of the Jonas Brothers. He strikes me as the kind of person who loves dancing around in the background playing guitar, knowing that he's supporting his little brothers.
Camille and her Cosmetics but he is also older and when they started off was pretty shy, pretty sure he is 5 years older than Nick? So makes sense he has settled down considering they are all married/getting married now :)

So I’m seeing a mix of factors here...1) apparently he chooses not to have solos often, 2) his voice is actually sooo similar to Joe’s! Maybe like a deeper, sorta twang to it... and 3) what he lacks in singing solos, he makes up for plenty in epic guitar solos...
That said when he DOES sing, he’s actually so good at it!!!

I always knew Kevin could sing. I would play Scandinavia on repeat just to hear him solo clearly. He just sounds so similar to Joe. It's a shame that Joe and Nick got most of the spotlight, but you gotta consider their demographic of the time. I mean, I'm ten years younger than Kevin lmao. The fact that Nick & Joe were perfect teenage heart throbs definitely helped propel their fame.

I remember Scandinavia coming out when I was 9 and I definitely fan girled over Kevin singing. Those were simpler times, yet my love for Kevin has definitely stayed with me.

Kevin is a better guitar player than he gets credit for and definitely has incredible stage presence when he plays. His voice may not be suited for many of the songs they perform, but, like Ringo of The Beatles, he should get to lead at least a cover song occasionally.

Kevin has always been my favourite even as a child, it made me mad how he rarely got screen, lyrics, or a story. It’s hard to say Jonas brothers when it’s a Hamilton spin off Jonas Brothers and Kevin.
The Scandinavia song was one of my favorite songs because he is the only one that sings and he has a beautiful voice. I hope he sings more in the future he has a great voice. Thank you for the video
