Charity had good intentions but just like with EVERYTHING else she chose the wrong time she chose the wrong delivery and she chose to make it about her too

She was trying to give her sister strength! The very strength that she pulled from when she was facing losing a child, her poem. And Grace spit shame in her face just like Lady Mae would have lmao. Miss this show!

After telling Phil about this same son’s issues, she tried to give her sister strength. Grace reacted out of anger. Charity sold the family out, and Grace’s son who had nothing to do with anything, for a man who chose power over her.

Because Grace has been down that rode so many times with Charity. It appears she is offering a fig leaf only to turn on her like a mad dog. I had several sisters like that too. Total b*tches . May they rest in peace. I have 3 sisters left and 2 of them I have etched them out of my memories. I have no plans on going to anymore home-goings and I told my other sister that I am disturbingly close with if those other 2 fall ill and you come by way of the information find the strength to not let me know because I am well with them both. Sometimes in life one must choose peace over turmoil.

Grace had a point. Every tragedy here comes Charity with the bullsh*t.

Sharing pain during times of grief is never bullshit. Sometimes its the only thing that gets us through to the other side. And how blessed the character is to still have her son, and so another chance to do and be different. This while another woman who lost her child is willing to dredge up that pain and use it to offer comfort and solace. Yeah, I'm gonna have to agree with the Charity character. Grace deserves her mama. They are both entirely too caught up in self-pity, rage, and wanting to hold on to the misery (to use it against others) to actually want to heal.

@@patricelockertanthony7630But she still made it about her. Hell she didn't even apologize for what she did before. She IS being selfish because that's what Charity was

@@patricelockertanthony7630Charity literally did stuff knowing what was going on with AJ. You can try to want to do good while hurting others at the same time. That's hypocritical

Charity Is A Dumbass For Turn Her Back On Family

I think Charity was attempting to connect with Grace thru the tragedy and hardships they faced with their children and Grace, like the rest of the family, dismissed Charity's attempt at connecting by being insensitive toward her. Grace is a bit self absorbed, likeable but a bit self absorbed at times, such as this. What she could've did was share in the pain that she and her sister are familiar with but like Charity said "you and momma are made for eachother" because they behave the same.

@@tashajones3661 the Phil situation happen before this scene? I didn't even remember that part. The thing about this family is that all of them were flawed and none better than the next. Remember Grace slept with Noah knowing that he was about to get married and his fiance found out and that destroyed their relationship. I think that was part of the purpose of the series, to highlight the fact that they were all flawed. Christian and all...

@@princessindigo Grace slept with Noah. She didn't betray her sister just because she thought a man liked her. Charity got what she deserved from everyone including Phil.

@@tashajones3661 I'm not excusing what Charity did, I'm just pointing out that all of them were flawed so it was strange to see them not have some sort of compassion toward eachother and this scene was a good example of an opportunity missed. It seems as though keeping the church going was priority to each of them regardless of all the toxicity each member brought to the family. Really interesting series!

I don’t think that Charity had anything to do with the fact that AJ attempted to commit suicide. Grace could’ve at least listened to her and forgiven her for what she did. So there was no need for Grace to blame Charity for the fact that AJ attempted to commit suicide.

This season was so weird. Charity didn't get a blood test to see if that boy was hers. They jumped the shark with this story line this season because it just went AWOL with a mysterious boy who said he was her son and she believed it, like really, with out any proof. I think they knew the show was ending and rush some episodes with the last season because non of that made sense.
