My twin went down. The white probe began to lose its charge and then later the booster lost connection which I managed to reconnect months later. Both problems now do not show on the program despite being on the charge for a full day. We will see if they honor the warranty. I was not able to contact being a weekend. It worked well till it didn't. If you are smoking brisket for example the probe contacts to recharge in the booster cable will not do so unless vigorously cleaned. I personally believe both my probes are toast. I presses the reset button and was able to reconnect to the booster but both probes are not communicating with the booster then via booster to the application. Very disappointing. Purchased from Academy March 2024.
Just got mine yesterday. Used it today in the turkey. The battery seemed to not be the best. It was showing in the red and almost dead after about 5 hours of being on after a full overnight charge. Other than that worked great!
If it was fully charged, get ahold of Customer Service and they'll take care of you.
Hmm my ambient temp is showing at 79º in the house. Guess they've changed the starting value.
They must have updated the software. Good to know.
This device worked great for me in the beginning and now the spike won't connect to the booster and barely connects to my phone.
I'd contact ThermoPro. They have good customer service.
Used it the first time and it worked great… have had problems with it ever since. Bluetooth connection drop, probe paring drops, was plugged in for 2 day and still the probe was dead. I rotated the probe to ensure connection and still had trouble. So , i cannot recommend this item.
get ahold of ThermoPro. They will make it right.
