I just took delivery of an Ultimate model last week for business and personal use (towing a horse float). It has a 3500kg tow capacity (with tow bar and electric brakes fitted) and handled towing a double angle-load horse float last weekend with ease. Loving this car so far! So much luxury for the price! (I gave up on Jeep releasing a new model of the Grand Cherokee, which was my last tow vehicle).

Not bad. Ssangyong's line up is getting top notch. That Rexton will give other SUVs a run for their money.
Looks like the 3rd Korean brand might just give the others a run for the money this time.
It does have 3rd row airbags by the way 👍

Great review, you should do a review of the 2022 model.
A "proper 4WD" yet not mentioning anything which makes this the case...? WHAT makes it a proper 4WD? Driving modes? Diff lock? Clearance? I fail to see how other than the 4WD badge stuck on.
Also, no mention of that weird floor gap in the back above the boot lip, or what, if any, spare tyre there is, or showing how the 2nd row seats fold down? This review could be a few minutes longer at least.

You didn't touch on whether the back air vents run hot and cold air and whether there are other drink holder options for drink holder in back seats if using all back seats.
Got the older rexton W. Test driven the new one. Very nice cabin though the 19"rims cause the ride quality to drop a little (UK roads though!)
You can fit 17 inch wheels if you prefer a more comfy ride. Besides I only know of three wheel sizes : 17, 18 and 20 inch.

Is it viable to add a 2.0 in. suspension lift in the new Rexton 4WD version & (+0) upsize tyre for extensive off road use???
Before you add a body lift, you first may want to get proper tires and at least one diff lock. If you still have money left, you could try and find a lift. In the EU at least, there's none available atm.

We ‘re searching for a 7seat SUV that can be used with 3 little kids (all of them are under 4 years)
If we buy a booster, we also need an infant car seat (0-I), a car seat of the next kategory (0/I/II) and the booster.
Is this 2 nd row roomy enough for 3 child seats???

Rexton. As this car's body is build on the steel frame not like others where they build the body first then extend the frame. Boby on frame structure is the toughest standard where they use it on most military vehicles ( Ssangyoung build amy trucks during Korean War). However you may found it a bit stiff driving on rough surface.

@@amrashraf9559 i will still pick rexton. Because fortuner's suspension is way too stiff. If you need comfortable ride, rexton is better. But Toyota has bigger engine with power output.

You don't put small children in a seat with airbags. It's illegal, that's why you can't put them in the front seat if a sedan. If you're going to do a review stop and think a moment before your mouth rattles.

Fariz Erdinata yes for off-roading or towing but for the school run the Santa Fe does much better

It's a shame they don't have a petrol version(in early 2000s they had the 3.2litre v6 from Mercedes

@@craigpodsprojames2500 i'm in Israel and vehicles are under a heavy tax.Korean suv's are about 30% cheaper than the Japanees.2002 i 'was in the market' for suv(new)realising,the Japanees were 'too rich for my blood' i went into a scangyong dealership looking for the petrol(3.2 v6)..to my dissapointment they had stopped selling the v6.They only had diesels-a 'big no no' for me.I went across the street to Mitsubishi and found/bought the pajero sport 3litre v6

It's a Korean brand majority owned by Mahindra (India). At the moment at least. Mahindra is looking to sell some of their share due to COVID
