    Why do you think you prepare late?

    this could be one of the most underrated video of all times,
    while most of the tutorial focus on the body and the racket movement, this video is the first to break down and remind us how important the footwork is.
    looking forward to my next tennis class 😀

      Glad you found it helpful. I sometimes wonder if the other online coaches are playing a different game to me, because I've always found that I have to get to the ball before I can hit it.... But as you said, no-one talks about footwork 😀

    Can’t stress enough how good this video was. Great, great stuff, man. I feel like footwork is just about as important as the stroke technique, but it is often dismissed or neglected by coaches and UA-camrs alike. It would be lovely if you could keep these footwork lessons coming (especially with drills), especially for forehands as well!

      Thanks. I’ve got a couple of videos for the forehand, but will be adding them on deep and short balls soon 🙏

    Have you made any videos on the 1HBH return of serve? Any suggestions when to play shorter or deeper? Should I have shorter takeback than usual?

    • @TennisHacker
      @TennisHacker  2 роки тому

      I don't have any videos on the return mainly because I don't have anyone to serve at me :-)
      It's hard to make tactical recommendations, but generally the take back will be shorter because you have less time.

      I’ve found that going further behind the baseline makes the swing easier. Split step right as they’re gonna hit the ball and decide between a OHBH swing or a high deep slice.

    • @TennisHacker
      @TennisHacker  2 роки тому

      Pain is complex stuff, so it would be impossible for me to know what is causing your issue.

      Usually you have weak shin muscle and or calves muscles. You get pain because they are a huge part of accelerating and stopping. Source: I weigh 300lbs and have been playing sports for a while, my shin pain stopped when I started weightlifting to improve these two muscular groups. cheers.
