this could be one of the most underrated video of all times, while most of the tutorial focus on the body and the racket movement, this video is the first to break down and remind us how important the footwork is. looking forward to my next tennis class 😀
Glad you found it helpful. I sometimes wonder if the other online coaches are playing a different game to me, because I've always found that I have to get to the ball before I can hit it.... But as you said, no-one talks about footwork 😀
Can’t stress enough how good this video was. Great, great stuff, man. I feel like footwork is just about as important as the stroke technique, but it is often dismissed or neglected by coaches and UA-camrs alike. It would be lovely if you could keep these footwork lessons coming (especially with drills), especially for forehands as well!
Thanks for the footwork lesson i was having trouble with my backhand my feet was not moving on time. I appreciate your lesson. That really helps my backhand. Thanks a million.
You have videos for every real problem players at the intermediate level face, including this one. Great videos and I learn a lot from these. Also I can very much relate to every problem you describe in your videos . Thank you so much !
Hello Excellent video. Thanks for sharing this. Can you please make a video about the choice of stance for cross court vs down the line one handed backhand? Thanks
I don't have any videos on the return mainly because I don't have anyone to serve at me :-) It's hard to make tactical recommendations, but generally the take back will be shorter because you have less time.
I’ve found that going further behind the baseline makes the swing easier. Split step right as they’re gonna hit the ball and decide between a OHBH swing or a high deep slice.
Usually you have weak shin muscle and or calves muscles. You get pain because they are a huge part of accelerating and stopping. Source: I weigh 300lbs and have been playing sports for a while, my shin pain stopped when I started weightlifting to improve these two muscular groups. cheers.
Why do you think you prepare late?

¡¡¡Muy bueno!!! Gracias.
Have you made any videos on the 1HBH return of serve? Any suggestions when to play shorter or deeper? Should I have shorter takeback than usual?

i get shin pain when i play tennis ..whats causing it and any tips ? thanks
Pain is complex stuff, so it would be impossible for me to know what is causing your issue.
