When I fly to Southeast Asia, I usually fly ANA, the only other one would be Cathay Pacific, I fly out of LAX to either Vietnam or Thailand 20 hour travel time, 15 hours of time difference, and 20 hour jet lag I have to book in business, I’m old and I need my sleep😂
If you are OK with paying for a little extra leg room, then go for it. The meal was basic economy level and if you wanted wine or spirits, they were served in paper cups, surely a plastic "glass" could be provided.Service was good. 5 out of 10.
Nonsense to pay premium of $700 on top of base economy fair for this unglorified lounge meal and few extra inches. I could use $700 to buy way nicer sleeper and food.
I completely understand your point. It's definitely hard to justify paying a $700 premium for what often seems like just a slightly better meal and a few extra inches of legroom. However, I think it can be worth it if you manage to get a good deal. For this trip, I did a bid for an upgrade and got premium economy for much less than the usual price. In this case, the added comfort was worth it.
I'll be flying premium economy next year to Handea from Seattle. Super excited!
How exciting! Absolutely worth the journey! Haneda airport is pleasant. Safe travels!
Me too, cheers!
Dinner looks fantastic for Premium Economy! Looks like a great flight.
It definitely was!
I’ll be flying ANA premium economy from LAX. How do you gain entrance to the lounge at LAX? Just show someone your boarding pass?
@WayneHendersonVO Yes, you need a boarding pass. Safe travels!
you can bid for an upgrade to premium econ after you buy econ. i pay 150USD(the lowest price) to bid to upgrade.
That’s a great deal!
to be sure, if you book premium economy on ANA airlines it gives you lounge access in LAX?
Yes, premium economy with ANA gives you lounge access in LAX.

Wow, with all that travel and time difference, I can see why it would be better to book business. 😅

Do the front seats in PE not have their own entertainment screens?
Yes, they do have them. I believe it’s either in the armrest or below it next to the leg rest which you pull out and it expands.
Does premium econonmy get their own bathrooms?
Unfortunately, no. It’s shared with economy.

@thetravelingkuki Seriously? The 2 things I wanted was more seat space and better bathroom. I am beyond disappointed.
