My name is Dayton and I'm an airsoft sniper from BC Canada. Ever since I started airsoft I've been addicted to the long range game. that's why I play as a sniper. Bubbles is beautiful, but it would be even better if bubbles had an attachment to allow you to turn him into a backpack turret :)
Bubbles looks great and all, but you forgot the key feature. Ice cream truck music. That way everyone comes running towards bubbles only to find the sweet taste of death from 6mm bbs.
Just a word on tracked vehicle engineering. Bigger front wheels,and off set the axle as far forward as possible. so the track is as much out in front of the hull as you can get it, to keep the hull off the ground and objects its driving over. Happy building😎
Should add a kill switch to it for balance purposes. Basically if you shoot the kill switch it disables bubbles until you come reset it. That way people have a way to counter it.

For now he works like a juggernaut. He belongs to whatever team tags him, once a team has claimed him, he enters battle until the other team tags him 😊 im working on a lighting system to mark his team more visibly

A suggestion I have is for you to make the turret a separate “rc vehicle” so that one person can drive and the other aims and shoots.
Me and my did that once in Minecraft. It didn’t end well.
In its current form that would not be practical. Having a different driver and shooter is only a practical solution. When the vehicle is complicated enough that one person cannot feasibly do both,

Looks awesome! I did notice the left barrel firing with super slow muzzle velocity - the right barrel was shooting straight but the left was dropping considerably in a short distance in your tests.
I think I had the hopup set to off on the left one :P it's shooting much better now!
When drones completely take over warfare, there will be a marine or soldier that puts googly eyes on a death robot.

My fondest airsoft memory was at a smaller air-soft range in BC were me and my mate wore Blue helmets and black plate protectors labeled press, and ran around interviewing people while under fire. It was great. We also watched an execution for war crimes after someone opened up and "Killed" us lol. Good times.
I remember when u brought Bubbles for the first time in the field. He grew up so fast, so proud of him 🥹

If you had a larger, im assuming its an idler is on the front, you could get better climbing from the front, which would reduce your getting caught on two sandbag, as currently the idler is too small to grant clearance for the few mms that extrudes from the front, much easier than redesigning the whole front.

Add some ridges to the tracks to get more traction for the sand bags
You should eventually add a vertical stabilizer so bubbles can shoot on the move better it might be difficult but it would make bubbles more effective on the move
The components under strain should be swapped out for aluminum rather than plastic. It won't alter the weight all that much, but would also make Bubbles more reliable.

to upgrade the design i think a turret similar to one of a real tank could be usefull and it would also be easier to shoot if you only have one gun and the cam just on the top of the gun or just under it you would also be able to have a turret ring so you can hid the calbe inside the body of the tank
protection for the track i think there will be a time when the track are going to get broken
Might need to make them a bit faster to counter how loud it is

you should look into desigining a single motor PID for the turret rotation :)
You gotta connect like. Shock patches to certain spots on the bubbles, and when someone shoots that point with a bb, a one of like 4 lights goes up on your controller to show it was hit at a "weak spot." And then if all 4 are hit, the robot is "destroyed" so its fair to the other team.

Try using more wall instead of infill, I think 6-8 wall at 60% infill would give it enough flex and strength and less filament
printing with nylon would probably help also
@@user-sc5ih9bq1d yeah, it would, also petg, abs, asa even pla+/tough would help it a lot (especially nylon and petg bc of the flexibility) but he also wants it easy to print and fully out of pla
Really cool design! I would love to play airsoft with my brother but where I live in canada he gets off work after 5pm so no airsoft fields are open.

Need to look into adding a self leveling gun so that it's easier to aim while moving and the gun want be thrown off target by the chassis up and down motion while moving
With the change from wheels to tracks, wonder how the little guy would handle in a sandy area...

Damn, what a tanky little *bleep*.
Drone flight control boards have all the magic you need to fix your "inertia" drama you spoke about.
You can tune the PID so it snaps into position and eliminates all the vibration you spoke about.
Very cheap and easy to program.
idea for the next upgrade, rig up a system so that someone can use a modified vr headset custom made to be used in airsoft so when you look, the head looks around and makes shooting more fun for ya

An idea, close range anti infantry bb launchers/claymore type thing. No more picking up bubbles.
I think that's a lobster mushroom the spore can turn the toxic mushrooms to choice edible mushrooms

can u build a supersized verzion of bubbles that u can ride on to a end gal as a new gamemode for airsoft(think payload from tf2 type thing) or is that not practical?

May I Recommend ASA or at least ABS. ASA will do better with constant exposure to UV light (The sun) and is a tad stronger then ABS. ABS is much stronger then PLA or PLA+ Though not as good under constant exposure to the sun as ASA. Doesn't hurt to try and its not too much more expensive than a roll of PLA+. I use it for mags all the time and have not had one break on me yet.
PLA+ would be better. prints similarly to normal PLA. Then add more wall layers will make it stronger too. and for a design recommendation use more wheels for the bottom. it will drive smoother and go over obstacles better.
And add weight lower down

You really should be using petg for things in that.. Less likely to melt in a hot sunny day.. And has more flex to survive gears in such a thing
A way you could probably fix how bubbles can’t climb the best, is that you could add spikes to the tracks. Look at pictures of the tracks on a T-55, Churchill, or Tiger to see what i mean
Should be easy to see the T-55 tracks considering you were standing in front of one at the beginning of the video
Hear me out, use the T-55AM-1 as the rc robot and use the 125mm and load up the shells with airsoft BBs

You could find a way to stabilize the gun like a real tank
it would be much quieter and maybe stronger if you can design helical gears rather then normal cogs
make bubbles fire as fast as physically possible
