The only thing I'm happy about is that I got it for $20 off from PSN store sale. I've been buying 2K since 2K9, but this is the year they finally lost my trust. This ish is hot garbage, I feel bad for those who paid full price.
I consider myself as a casual player. I miss so many wide open shots. It’s embarrassing at this point. My troubles are with 2v2, 3v3, and The Rec. In other game mode I’m fine. No one should be forced to play 15K+ just reach Legend Five.

TakeTwo (2K) has become the kind of company to lie, steal, and deceive those of us who think they’re just trying to make the best game possible for us (the community). Truth isn’t always pretty, but at least it’s not a pretty-looking lie. Devs have given up on community, and now they’re money driven..
It was a grind learning the new game, but I actually think it’s really good and I like the rhythm shooting with no meter on high risk. It feels nice and rewarding and I can be extremely consistent. The game overall rewards patience for the most part. Although when it lags the rim running can be a headache for sure. I don’t like that they don’t have to time their shots, but the truth is if you’re good at shooting on high risk, you’re going to be out shooting them. But of course it’s cringe when they hit a white for the game winner lol. I definitely recommend lots of practicing shooting with all the different players, rhythm shooting on high risk. I’ve been annihilating people on play now online. it amazes me how everyone I play against is using normal or low risk.

I don’t know that it’s scripted. Playing on pro, off the default settings - had a difficult time hitting shots with Steph Curry. But then I played a game with Charlottes and went off with Ball. Won both games - just won by more on the Steph game. EDIT - should be noted I just play the AI. I don’t bother with playing online. If I play someone, it’s a buddy sitting on my couch. Maybe the conditions are different, but I’ll never know otherwise.
24 and 25 is a waste of time playing and Then they still don’t have all of the Lakers Championship Teams on their. They need to bring back NBA Live Like For Real.
I'm gonna be honest with you. I only do play now. So from my perspective I think there's a HIGH skill gap in this game. most people don't know how to dribble or get open. I've seen you play on twitch. A lot of the time when you're doing play now you're not doing a lot to get yourself open. I do agree with the number of shot profiles being a bit much. I actually do Normal risk because it's similar to last year and I didn't miss much last year. Also when it comes to defense, I really think they did a great job with the defense. They removed the animation spamming so you really have to play up. If you give someone space and the person can shoot then it has a good chance of going in. Like the beginning clip, you left D Mitch open. He's a clutch shooter. It deserved to go in. It's a simulation basketball game. D Mitch would most likely hit that shot in real life if you give him that much space at the 3 point line. That was just a breakdown defensively (AKA a you issue). I do somewhat agree with you on off ball is a bit over powered but there's a balance to that. Go to your coaching setting s and cut it of. It's pretty easy to do that. Also off ball cutting works best for people who play off ball all the time. So there you go. Also you need to work on your rotations. I do admit you need to know that the game will mess up and if you already know that you should act accordingly. Overall I think the gameplay from a play now is perfectly fine. It's just a skill issue.

My point is this game is completely random there’s no way you play this game and can’t admit that. I get into nail biter games with people in play now that greened maybe 4 shots all game. The gameplay is fun but the random bs/RNG/scripting negates the fun. I bet your record isn’t as good this year as past years either. There’s no way you believe this game has a high skill gap this is the least skill gap of a 2k besides 21 next gen

@@victorraybillup I think Off ball defense is actually better this year than it was yeast year. The effectiveness of off ball cutting was an effective tool to beat off ball cheaters in 2k24. This year you really have to plan the off ball. I think we are saying the same thing here.

Since all of these moves are easy to do. it makes NO sense that people don't use them. So I guess it's not a high skill gap more of a skill issue? IDK.

Granted, I don't try to move up in the leaderboards because I only do 2K tournaments, so maybe I might feel these issues if I try to get the GOAT badge. Maybe...
Thank god I'm on the PC where we do have to get UPDATES!!!.....we keep our same exe files and keep the DAY 1 gameplay. Patches destroyed this game. Its a good game without the patches

This game is heavy scripted, on my first account i had 40-60 score loosing 40 or more games by 1 or 3 points and my opponents were running to the paint and scoring impossible shot's over my defenders even if i run zone they are dunking over 2 of my players in the paint. Then I created new account and my score is 115-40 all of sudden it allows me to play some defense and when i make some run like 10 wins in a row it starts again with same out of bounce bugs i cannot pass ball to open players and shit like that. I played with all time Charlotte against Minensotta and Gobert turned into Wilt Chamberlain he start dunking over Alonzo Morning getting 10 offensive rebounds, i cannot make open shots, Morning missing 2 or 3 clean dunks and i lost the game in the end scoring only 40pts against off baler. Then he was like hahaha you lost with all time Charlotte you trash and insults like that, not realizing that this game literaly gave him the win.

2k24 felt so much more scripted imo. This year I can actually win close games sometimes
