I know because I've worked for many of these guys. It gets quite graphic. I also rehearse how I'd tear strips off him on the day I quit. I play both parts and it's VERY dramatic.
What people seem to not understand is these same people went through similar bullshit and often are attempting to propagate a situation that benefits them in their current state based on what they new and felt they did when they were in a lower work position.
if he has that time to have a pointless conversation, he has time to order his sandwich so he doesnt have it messed up it takes like 45 seconds to order on the app
Irene also speaks perfectly good English but H A S TO BE TA LK ED TO LIKE THIS cos how else would the boss impose a sense of non existent superiority ?
But that would deprive the manager of the important daily powertrip from having Irene manually dial up the sandwich place to place his order there for him and then having her go to his office to personally inform Mr. Bossman that the BLT has indeed been ordered and shall be placed upon his desk post haste.
Me and you dude. I can deal with a lot because I genuinely do want to be patient and loving with people I haven’t had an easy upbringing so I love people. As soon as corporate bullshit like this pops up and they constantly try to gas light me I always have a ton of prove on my phone and if they continue to do it I’ll start fighting back. Life’s too short to deal with red tape corporate bullshit.
the one advantage i've found to being a gen z employee is the culture around younger people taking less shit so they know we won't even start barking back, it'll be a 2 weeks notice bite if they're lucky

The fact he plays this character so well means he's been under a boss like this so he has my sympathy, it's incredible how many people there are who actually behave like that.
This channel is so funny, and yet it stresses me out so much that I have to go out of my way to go watch calming videos like rug cleaning or listen to rain afterwards
I searched up 'slappable jerk corporate hell' the other day and was dismayed to see there were only a couple videos. So thanks for this one! I think it's maybe your best character.
Oh man. That ending especially got me. I work at a Hilton doing night audit, been doing it for 1 1/2 years. I mostly love what I do, and have no desire to "move up". Just wanna do what I do and do it well. For a few months after first starting I heard this "I wanna see you move up" line way too much and eventually told my general manager in the least lazy looking way I could think of that I was fine where I was and want to keep doing what I'm doing, if I need to do things differently or better then please let me know, but otherwise I am totally fine with being your night auditor.
What a caring guy. He clearly sees this employee as his successor and wants to put him in a situation where he replaces the boss when he’s on vacation and takes on the leadership role
So essentially he’s butthurt that you put in your vacation time before him so he’s trying to get you to cancel yours so he can go. He’s even saying “nobody can take vacations in august” right after saying that’s he plans to do just that.
This is anxiety inducing! As someone who like to do a little extra once in a while, I can see now how a manager would try to use that BS of "young associate trying to move up" and "be a leader" to guilt me into sacrificing more of my personal time to make their life easier.
I've never understood why people think like that in the corporate world. This makes me angry on a level it just shouldn't because it's so relistic and relatable
Hey new character idea: I used to work with this dude who thought he was the boss of everyone because he used to be a Walmart manager. He would harass and bully people while talking about how amazing he is and how the place would crash down without him (it was perfectly fine) eventually he got fired and that was when he decided he was actually already looking for another job the whole time 😂 total narcissist basically and he’d always talk about how he hated his stepson and how he needs a beating lmfao Not sure how many ppl out there fit that kinda description but I can’t be the only one to have dealt with that kinda dude
Not corporate, but I had a shitty retail job. Told them well in advance I needed Black Friday off. They told me no one takes it off. I told them I would quit if they didnt. They yielded, I got off, and my colleagues were pissed but the company couldnt afford to lose me. Later quit to go to Med School. They basically begged me to stay or "come in and work a couple days a month." I had made it clear I was moving to another country (Caribbean Med School) so I was really confused how they pictured that working lol. They treated their staff like crap.
@abba9265 they weren't mad at me as much as mad at management. Many of them had requested less important times off and been rejected. It wasn't the only event like that either. At one point they changed commission saying it would pay the same. I did the math and sent them an email showing that's not true... that give our sales we would be making significantly less. They offered me a promotion. I turned it down because it wasn't worth it and near the time I was going to quit anyways.
This guy's such a good actor. 12 seconds in, the guy hasn't even said what he wants yet, and I'm already brimming with rage. The finger beckon, stopping a conversation to talk to someone else (and acting annoyed as if it's the employee's fault), talking to Irene like she's a child, and the fact that he doesn't even order his own lunch. It paints such a vivid picture, and makes me feel such strong emotions lol
Jokes on him I'm actually taking 10 get fucked maybe he should reschedule his vacation time since it's such a critical time of the year and he is the boss

Sure the others are pigs & losers, misogynists & gaslighting emotional abusers, but THIS GUY....I'd be fantasising a more gruesome death for him everyday.
Or theyre getting treated like this by whoever is above them. Attitudes and culture like this trickle down from the top
@@TheNemetonDoesn't justify being an AH to those you have power over, and definitely not misogyny.
@@Hello-hello-hello456 no one is saying it's justified I'm just explaining the usual idea behind this character
@@ftb282no not really
It's like bullies, most of the time they're not abused or hurt themselves
They're just assholes
if he has that time to have a pointless conversation, he has time to order his sandwich so he doesnt have it messed up it takes like 45 seconds to order on the app
Irene specifically has to order with a phone call.
I'm raging to this rn
At the employee for scheduling his vacation at the same time as his boss right?
Yes. It's incredulous that the employee is trying to enjoy himself when he CHOSE to work corporate.
I would get fired so quickly for talking back smack, you have no idea. Has happened before. But better unemployed than allow anyone to bully me.
I've legit had old people stuck in dead end jobs tell me you have to be a suck up the first ~10 or so years if you want to get anywhere.
@@GhostSamaritanI’d say you’re lying but you can’t make that stuff up.
And then the boomers say "kids dont want to work today!"
Fr most of us barely work to begin with 😆
@@foxbyte0157 speak for yourself, i love my job. but my employer also knows i have a life outside of work and that's respected, as it should be
Reading some of these comments I'm so glad I live in a country with mandatory vacation and union contracts as standard.
I haven't personally been cursed with a boss who's this breed of frustrating, but it still physically pains me to know that people like this unironically exist and see nothing wrong with their behavior
You know what really kills me? Someone loves this man. That's always what I think about it. He has kids maybe or a wife or siblings. Like someone out there actually likes these people. Boggles my mind.
"im trying to make you a leader here"
Well seeing as how we're both trying to get a vacation in August, i think im doing pretty well
Please stop doing this, but never stop doing this. This videos are wonderful at making me feel terrible.
The corporate hell series is my new favorite, keep up the amazingly, scarily accurate work!
finger snaping realy made me feel things i never thought i could feel. this guy doesn't miss he has nailed every detail that makes this boss an absolute A hole instead and not your regular A hole
these videos are funny asf man like goddamn please never stop
Out of every one of the insufferable personalities TheSlappableJerk has portrayed this personality is probably the scariest, because it's the one that can most realistically mess with my life.
I love the corporate hell series because of how relatable it is.
The fact he plays this character so well means he's been under a boss like this so he has my sympathy, it's incredible how many people there are who actually behave like that.
that’s when you stand up for yourself and set boundaries
Ahh, the classic "im old, i forgot" excuse. If i had a nickel for everytime ive heard that from a manager
What that tells me is that you’ll need to send them a reminder email every day until they reply.
Every character you do is perfect you’re seriously the best
The most egregious sin in this whole video is the boss asking for wheat on a BLT and saying sourdough ruined the whole sandwich. That's a psychopath.
This channel is so funny, and yet it stresses me out so much that I have to go out of my way to go watch calming videos like rug cleaning or listen to rain afterwards
My current boss is like this lol. The taking slowly, the barely-contained rage, the "does that make sense?"
More corporate hell videos please 🙏these are a treat.
This gesture on the first second, that's spot on!
Scary how relatable this is.
The amount of concealed rage he has about the sourdough is chilling
i love the implication that one of his most stressful problems is just getting the wrong sandwich bread
God your acting is so good I gotta remind myself not to hate you
😂😂
The amount of rage this instills
So essentially he’s butthurt that you put in your vacation time before him so he’s trying to get you to cancel yours so he can go. He’s even saying “nobody can take vacations in august” right after saying that’s he plans to do just that.
"See August is when we're busiest, so that's why I, the manager, will take vacation during that time instead."
Seems legit
So, if the manager takes the week off, could the associates, technically, take time off too, maybe a super late lunch or sneak out of work at 2:00?
"I'm trying to get you to be a leader" is such a key phrase, you nailed that so well.
I watched this video 10 minutes ago and I'm still shaking with rage. Great job.
This guy is so good at portraying the most unlikeable characters ever.
This man would make me go postal in a week
This is anxiety inducing! As someone who like to do a little extra once in a while, I can see now how a manager would try to use that BS of "young associate trying to move up" and "be a leader" to guilt me into sacrificing more of my personal time to make their life easier.
I'm really loving your corporate hell ones lol
He gives a half day on Christmas Eve, has to be an extremely reasonable boss
Corporate Hell Boss always leaves me prepped for war
You're killing these. Keep it up.
I’m really glad he gave me a chance to see what the problem is for myself
This is too good, like it makes me actually just want to smack him upside the head
Oh so the boss wanted HIS vacation the same month, and didn’t want the newbie to be off, he wanted him to do all the working while he played. 😂
This is activly stressing me out
I've never understood why people think like that in the corporate world. This makes me angry on a level it just shouldn't because it's so relistic and relatable
Hey new character idea: I used to work with this dude who thought he was the boss of everyone because he used to be a Walmart manager. He would harass and bully people while talking about how amazing he is and how the place would crash down without him (it was perfectly fine) eventually he got fired and that was when he decided he was actually already looking for another job the whole time 😂 total narcissist basically and he’d always talk about how he hated his stepson and how he needs a beating lmfao
Not sure how many ppl out there fit that kinda description but I can’t be the only one to have dealt with that kinda dude
Can't say I personally relate to this too much but I'd love (hate) to see a cashier's pov and annoying/entitled customers
This stresses me out so much
I love watching this knowing I'm going on vacation in August for about two weeks
Corporate Hell Boss: "There's no holidays in August".
Me, a Canadian: Huh? A lot of us get a Civic Holiday in August though.
I’m more shocked that your fellow workers got mad that you advocated for yourself. It’s happened to me too, misery loves company
This pissed me off.. Bravo my good Sir
How are you so good at playing the worst humans imaginable. I can’t even laugh at this I’m just infuriated lmao.
Jokes on him I'm actually taking 10 get fucked maybe he should reschedule his vacation time since it's such a critical time of the year and he is the boss
It's amazing to see how the boss from corporate hell experience transcends cultures and borders. I'm from Germany and can relate so well.
This guy needs to be an actor he's too good at this lol
The absolute rage I felt from this because I went through similar. Fast forward and I work in a MUCH better environment
Edit: I applaud your accuracy and hate you for it. Keep it up! ❤
It’s at the point where if I saw you in the street I’d feel uncomfortable. Your characters are too convincing and I now can’t imagine you being a nice normal person.
That last line of, "I'm really trying to get you to be a leader..." was so triggering for me!
Really living up to the name with this one
i would commit homicide if i was in this situation
These are getting too uncomfortable to watch 🪤
He does it so well it makes my skin crawls
There it is, again that funny feeling. That funny feeling.
