- A little bit about my twists: I’ve had them in for about 3 going on 4 weeks. Lately, I’ve been pretty active so my scalp has been sweating more lately and I’ve been seeing some build up due to me using gel, edge control, etc.... so I hope this video will help you cleanse your scalp, keep your hair moisturized, and keep your passion twists looking neat and fresh. 🤦I was planning on using your style on a cruise and I am a serious swimmer with 4C hair that curls into ringlets. It will lock if not combed, and I mean combed every few days😄🤗
With all that said... Do you think smaller and tighter twist would work?
I've got time to experiment, the cruise is in 2020🤣🤣🤣
Suggestions... Got this idea from a box braid YT channel.
Dilute shampoo, conditioner, leave in about 1part product:2 part H2O in separate spray bottles.
And another with clean warm H2O to rinse.
🤷 To help prevent thick product chunks getting caught in the box braids and some added control.

Smaller tighter twists will work. Just use 1-2 pieces if you want smaller and tighter twists
Maybe a spray bottle with 1 part shampoo and 2 part water or an applicator bottle will help with efficiency???

How would passion twists hold up on a beach vacation with ocean water and pool water? Usually I would wash my hair after swimming. I want to do this for my upcoming vacation but I'm worried about the upkeep while I'm there...

Chyna Linnae i tried them out and i don’t find them to be heavy. However I’m used to doing butt length Marley twists and box braids and passion twists feel like feathers compared to those.
I have them in now and I don't feel like they're heavy at all!
Mine are a little heavy, but manageable. I used 7 packs of 22 inch water wave hair, it probably is less heavy with less hair with bigger parts or if you were to stretch 12 inch hair
How long can you leave the passion twists in ?

I wouldn't think you could, well if you have kinkier hair... that's why she wasn't trying to get the twist wet. You'll cause your hair to curl up and either sticking out or looking really frizzy
I did. However I put my twist into a ponytail just in case they slipped. I also shook out excess water immediately as they get very heavy when wet.

newyorksfiinest1 I imagine it’s the same process, just when you take the hair out of the pack, cut it in the middle usually right where the rubber band is.
