Movies are the reason ppl think Mexico is so dangerous. This was a nice presentation. I'm a new viewer and considering Guadalajara for myself and my teen son. I previously saw information about the neighborhoods, so it was great to almost hear her confirmation of that info. I work from home, but in my current role, it had to be from the US. So, finding work from anywhere is something I'm working on.
This is so awesome. I'm retired military and a licensed barber about to pursue my cosmetology license. Right now, I'm torn between Mexico City and Guadalajara. This was great info! Thank you!!

I visited Guadalajara for the first time a few months ago when I was living in Merida and I immediately fell in love🥰 I was staying in Providencia and absolutely everything was in walking distance and I swear there was a park with every step that I took which was a stark contrast to Merida. I think it depends on where in Guadalajara you stay. I went to Mexico City next and I loved it but my heart was still in Guadalajara. I hope move there next year
I went to Language school in GDL and lived with a family. I really enjoyed my trip walking around and getting my clothes washed and folded for a great price. Can’t wait to go back.
It took 4 years in increments to enjoy living in GDL. It definitely has its pros and cons like any place, but GDL is a great city to live in IF you enjoy living in a mega city. My only issue is I get bored because I really don't have friends here. Overall, GDL can be great!

Oh God, what a beautiful woman Alexis is! If I meet her on the street I immediately invite her to have coffee, tea or whatever so I can see that beautiful smile and that radiant skin in front of me. I am frequently in the American Colony, I hope to be lucky and I will gladly give you the Mexican Residency. Wow, what a nice woman!
Adalia thank you for inviting Alexis. Alexis, thank you for sharing helpful information about GDL as well Quatar, Vietnam. GDL is on the top of my list to visit for retirement in 4 years. We share a mutual friend(married a Latino from the CHI-TOWN). She is such a positive ambassador for GDL. I am disappointed that she is relocating from GDL.

You are 100% correct. I do have a bank account to pay my rent and buy groceries etc online. I left the USA in 2021 at 79 for Queretaro for a safer and less expensive city, that is cool and clean. How much does she pay for rent? Is it just military income or does instagram pay so well? I'm thinking of leaving my job I just want to know if its feasible.

1:15:22, instead of "crujiente" for crispy, use "bien cocido" or "bien tostado". I recommend learning Spanish from Mexico bc some words in other Spanish countries are bad words in mexico and alot of words are not used in mexico and vice-versa. Mexico Spanish is mixed with nahuatl, language of the aztecs, so if your going to live in México it may be a better idea. Also in Argentina they use the words "voz, vosotros" for "tu, Ustedes", meaning "you, you guys", and they conjugate verbs very differently such as "podeis" instead of "puedes", etc. Spanish is different depending on the country.
@@kem1233 this is what I understand, its deeper than that: "sos" is the second person singular of "ser" (be, to be) that corresponds to the pronoun "vos" and "eres" (are, you are) corresponds to "tú". Thank you so much for this segment. Visited Merida and Mazatlan this year and loved those locations. Guadalajara is now on my list to visit next year!
I think I may be visiting again too 😁
Given you are in Guadalajara, pay a visit sometime to Taxco Guerrero it is a beautiful Silver Town on the Mountains assuming it is still safe there.
Taxco is very far from Guadalajara, it is closer to CDMX than to Guadalajara

Great interview. I'm really considering Guadalajara.
I hope this conversation was helpful
My question is where is Alexis now, because she has gone ghost in that country?
Beach is far right?
For express mail DHL is prevalent in Guadalajara
DHL is a good option most places abroad
Is it relatively safe there? Considering all the violence in other areas?
Guadalajara is pretty safe. I wouldn’t walk alone at night. Always take and Uber if you’re going out at night especially in zona centro.
Safe like the ghettos of LA Chicago DC. 😆
40 years living here and I have never had problems with crime. I'm all over the city

Nothing like CDMX!
México city sucks
Nah it getting more expansive and it’s too small and packed to be there I think the future is better Guadalajara because it’s more space 🤷🏻♂️
True That. 😆
CDMX is great to visit. Not to live
