Sorry to take so long to get back to you, but I was on holiday. Most of the answers to your questions can be found at my website, where I explain the AALC system as well as what hard and soft magic systems are: www.mdpresley.com/aalc I also have a playlist on all this here: ua-cam.com/play/PLDK9aJUBFZYS7kL_ifXQwK2yYDD3wDXC2.html Hope that helps.
Great timing with the video! I've just recently stumbled across your stuff (trying to figure out my world's magic system atm), and I really appreciate the knowledge and strategies you share. I've already gained a much deeper understanding of what magic systems can do
I think the choosen one creates a lot of mystery in the story. It can easily be screwed tho. I love the choosen one in Harry Potter, because it gives a very big mystery as the core driving force. I like the choosen one in Avatar the last Airbender (not Korra), because it drives the plot forward. It sets up Aangs emotional struggle. In Legend of Korra however we see exactly how the choosen one can be done poorly. Korra can do everything from episode 1, and the writers didnt even try to build toward something meaningful.
I really like how you explain the different concepts on what soft magic system is! This is great!
Glad you like it and I hope you stick around for the harder systems.
Thanks for this video!

The sound of a marker on whiteboard is so satisfying to me, I wish it had been included.

Thanks for the kind words. I'm already planning the next few videos in the magic system series, so I hope you stick around.

What is the website name where you got the examples from?
It's been a while since I made that video, and I don't know which part you're talking about, but probably Chaotic Shiny: chaoticshiny.com/
Great video, but the background music is painfully distracting
