- case in a continuing series by Dr. Brendan Stack of Vienna Virginia. Dr. Stack demonstrates again by allowing you to watch the patient through treatment, the great success treating muscle movement disorders and ticks often associated with Parkinson's and Tourettes.
@GreenGirl444 ... It is a small inter-oral appliance that realigns the jaw to a proper position... thereby stopping the jaw joint from compressing the nerves that run through it... the compression or compromising of the nerve is what brings on the yelps and ticks of many Tourette's patients.. I have been exposed to this treatment now for almost 4 years and have followed many successful cases..... it is amazing what this segment of dentistry is accomplishing... no drugs and no surgery....
i have a tic disorder not tourettes but i do the neck cracking, tongue clicking, hit tables to release pressure

13тлет назад? Отлично пора смотреть это в 2024ом году:)
@drunkenmonkey761 Temporomandibular dysfunction is widely known as the great impostor inside the community that treats the issue since it can display itself in a wide range of symptoms... many related to Parkinson's, Tourette's and Fibromyalgia... few people know that Tourette's and Parkinson's are not diseases or conditions like cancer... Parkinson's and Toureete's are diagnosed as a result of you having symptoms they have classified as being part of those conditions...
that's really cool
@Mfaithwomen190989 Sometimes it is nothing more than the than the simple fact of having a distraction to focus on... you notice when he first starts to talk himself, his ticks calm a bit....
what'd they put in his mouth?
@drtwatman Normally I would delete an uneducated, self righteous comment for no other reason than the stupidity of the person making it. But I think you are a shining example of why people with these conditions continue to suffer needlessly in our medical system. Since you don't either have the intelligence or education to understand why it works, it must not. If the "dr" means you are a doctor, I feel for your patients, your ignorance has condemned them. Word to YOUR patients "caveat emptor"
Oh my dear...
I guess if all you have is a hammer, the entire world starts to look like a nail.
What an absolute charlatan. I hope he provides this free of charge as its about as useful as widescreen TV for a blind man.
Otherwise, caveat emptor.
