I'm in a transition period where I'm exploring different topics of what I want to share about, I'm a holistic life coach, author, singer/songwriter, vegan so there's a lot in there to share and be! This is a great video, thank you. I want to spread compassion and empathy in the world but also help others to tap into their unique purpose and become confident and passionate changemakers. Yes, I love the idea of connecting with tribe and help people we share core values with. Love your 'heart brand' concept.

It has been quite reaffirming to watch your videos that align with how I intend to start my channel. One of the biggest holdups for me has been listening to old or otherwise not relevant (for me at least).

@@Steven-Thompson Thanks, you make this a very welcoming space. I’ve been (over)preparing to launch my channel, Renaissance Autist, and have had an abundance of ideas with little action. I’ve finally decided I’m going to make a first video that feels like where I want to start, despite advice pushing me in different directions. I want to start with a video where I give myself permission to fail, permission to be imperfect, even to be wrong, to be willing to learn and grow from mistakes that I will undoubtedly make. I don’t feel comfortable only showing some superficial, over-polished version of myself. I’ve put off filming for so many silly reasons, but to connect with the people that I hope to… I want to share the steps and the mess along the way. Thanks again, this helped me to condense and articulate this idea better. 🤓
I hear you, if you follow the Ikigai process and then make videos around the pillars, you will see what your audience like and then lean into that…. Then you will be off to the races 👍

Watching Eric Haefele's first video really encourages me. I have a wide variety of life experiences, and I want to share them and help others in any way I can. If I can be the niche, I can do that without worrying about choosing something too narrow. I will create a new channel based on the concepts I've been developing over the past couple of months.

I filmed the process of diagnosis and repair (Bad clutch on the A/C compressor). Video already shot, just need to edit. Next video will be coming out on 10.13.24 and it’s about how to solve this problem: Cell phone screens are small and it's hard for us older folks to watch UA-cam on our phones… solution is to display whatever is on your Cell Phone screen and show it on a 32” video flat screen. This is great advice! I like the fact that you include purpose, because for some reason, at our age, it becomes an important subject. Advice (and you do whatever you want with it... because, you know, your channel! 😅) If you are going to put out more videos like this, which I hope you do, make your slides full screen and yourself smaller. Not because your face is not nice to look at, it is (😆), but that way, we will be able to read your slides easier and follow what you are saying. As you know, most of us watch YT videos on our phones... so at our age, small writings are hard! 😂 Take care!

I have a format for the ‘zero edit’ ✍️ video, it takes practise but is doable if you know your subject and get comfortable- I used to practise it via Facebook lives, I’m going to bring it to UA-cam live in the future!

You deliver well and with every video you will get better, make the video, you can make it again in the future, you can take specific points from it for future videos. I used to get hung up on getting everything I wanted to into a video, the truth is most won watch the whole video. I’m now in the process to see where people have dropped off and make the back end tips and steps into their own videos. Good luck

Niche has always been a challenge for me. I think of myself as a generalist, but it has hindered the algorithm figuring me out.
