Australian-born country phenom Morgan Evans is striking a chord with fans with the release of his new single “Over For You.” Evans debuted the deeply personal track, lauded by Billboard as “absolutely one of [his] best releases to date,” during his headlining set at Australia’s CMC Rocks QLD Festival, in front of a sold out 25,000 fans. Clips of the emotional performance amassed hundreds of thousands of views, as well as thousands of comments filled with shared stories of heartbreak all within just a few days, prompting its immediate release to country radio. The vulnerable song follows Evans’ latest EP, The Country And The Coast Side A, where he set aside his signature loop pedal to collaborate with a band of musicians for the first time in his U.S. career. Listening to Kelsea’s song Blindsided and then listening to this, it’s definitely his “too little too late” song..realizing what he had that’s now gone. I feel for both of them, but I definitely know what it’s like to fight and fight and fight for a person that just doesn’t understand, and eventually you have to make the decision to walk away because it’s not worth your pain and suffering anymore.
Both their breakup songs are just devastating, beautiful ... I feel every bit of pain in their music it really tells the true story and gives perspective hearing both sides ... chalk one more up to the loneliness of two musicians and how hard those two conflicting hectic schedules can be on a relationship xx

For two weeks I have been enamored with both the lyrics and the musical arrangement. The piano opening is captivating and devastatingly beautiful. It draws you immediately to the sorrow, confusion, loneliness, and passion that is expressed throughout the song. You hear this motif multiple times and it emphasizes his lyrical story. I was too wrapped up in what I was feeling, I never seen what she was going through. How different things could have been if I would have lifted my head and look towards her.

This is one of the things I hate about society today. That it is accepted that someone can just decide to up and leave. That couples don't try to work it out anymore. That communication is not emphasized.
There are certainly legit times when ppl try to make it work. I'm not talking about those. I'm talking about the ones who leave and blindside the other person.
