Disney’s The Lion King was filled with fierce lions and even fiercer lionesses, with 3 arguably being the most dangerous big cats in all of the Pride Lands and beyond. I’m talking of course about Sarabi and Zira, the former Queen of the Pride Lands and former leader of the Outlanders, respectively. Even though the two never shared any actual screen time together, they both backed their Kings up with their sharp claws and were always ready for action. But did you know that there might be a much deeper connection between Zira and Sarabi than the two of them both simply being alpha-predators?

There's a fan theory that states that Zira and Sarabi could be either sisters or half-sisters.

@@jayvonnoelsmith8445 plus Kovu and Kiara would still be related so it makes no purpose for him not to be Scar's son only to have Zira and Sarabi be sisters or half siblings.

Also, bear in mind that Kovu looks nothing like Scar. If Zira is Kovu's mother, that would mean that he has a different father from Nuka, who is most likely Scar's son.
If my memory serves, Zira said that Kovu was born before the Outlanders were banished. In other words, he's Kiara's age. Therefore, Scar cannot be his father.

Nuka saying "Kovu Kovu Kovu, Scar wasn't even is father" doesn't mean that he is Scar's son, he just think that he should be the chosen one as the eldest and that he could understand Kovu being chosen over him if he was Scar's son but that it isn't the case

It would be interesting for you to talk about whether the 4 elements are represented in the Lion King:
Scar died in fire, while Zira died in water and Kion has the power of wind (the roar) while Rani is Queen of the Tree of Life (Earth)
I'm not trying to correct you but in the movie it actually shows he survived the fire in the hyenas killed him
@@Jenesisquinn correct but, we can still go by what @TS_Tiziano said because in the lion guard scar appears as a spirit in the volcano, so i guess it still has some leverage to be explored
Zira and Sarabi being sisters would cause the EXACT same problem a scar being Kovu’s father.
And being Nala’s sister would be even worse.

My theory is that kovu and possibly vitani were both stollen from another pride. Nuka is definitely scars son, but with him looking so sickly, and obviously has mental health issues. Scar could not rely on him to take the pride into his own hands/paws. He needed an heir that would be strong enough to rule and fight off potential enemies that would steal the pride from him. While simba was returning I would assume all of that was unfolding. Then scar met with an untimely end. Yes in a cut scene the director removed scar made advances on nala ( creepy ik) but what people don’t seem to realize is the what 10 other background female lionesses who are not mentioned. Scar could have had a kid with any of them. Then gave the cub to zira to raise.
I actually remember it in theaters when it first came out. It was the very first movie I ever saw in theaters and I had owned it when it immediately came out on VHS. It wasn't "editor's cut" until after it had hit DVD and then only after they came up with editor's cut.
I remember that scene in theaters and on VHS. It was the first movie I had ever seen in theaters and I avidly watched the tape, it was my favorite. It wasn't removed until it hit DVD and only after they started coming out with editor's cut to justify charging more for movies.
I like the idea of Zira being Sarabis sister, it would make a lot of sense
"Their ages differ too much" meanwhile my sister in law is 30 with a 10 year old sister whose best friends with her 2 daughters
That's not usually the norm though. And I say this as 36-year-old whose older siblings are 51, 49, 43, and 41 and is adopted on top of that.

I don't want another movie, maybe a spinoff series would be better. A series that's based on the past of Mufasa and Sarabi, mostly Sarabi cause I want to learn about her past since we never learned her past in the movies.

Scar is already Mufasa's younger brother, so any lion relative from Scar's lineage are related anyway. Putting that aside, there has to be correlation from Nuka, Vitani, and Kovu with the Pride Rock Pride or the Night Pride if Zira was in fact Sarabi's evil sister - none of that existed at all.
Vitani and kovu are not scar real kids and Nuka is the kid of scar
Scar and Mufasa aren't biological brothers.
I do think it's interesting that Sarabi and Zira have similar fur colors and eye colors
First Generation: Mufasa, Taka/Scar, Sarabi, Sarafina and Zira
Second Generation: Simba, Nuka, Nala, Mheetu, Tama, Tojo, Chumvi and Kula
Third Generation: Kopa, Kiara, Kion, Rani, Vitani and Kovu
Nuka is like in the middle of 2 and 3 bc he was a teen when he died

I have many theories about Zira's origins:
one of my theories is that her and Scar are siblings and were separated as cubs(so it's unlikely that the two were mates), and they reunited when Scar killed Mufasa; in fact, Scar has many traits in common with the Outsiders
Yeah except Disney didn't have time to change them around does that mean that Nala is related to all of the lionesses as she looks like them
I've read a Lion King fan comic on DeviantArt (I don't recall the name of it, but I do remember that it was good) that actually made Zira the daughter of Scar and Sarabi. This theory was interesting to me because Zira does look like she could be their child, as many aspects of her physical appearance resemble both Sarabi and Scar. It was refreshing to see Zira play the role as Scar's daughter, rather than her serving as his mate, like the usual comics, theories, and fan fictions do.
I honestly don’t think any of Zira’s kids have the same father. Or…parents in general.

I think that Zira and Sarabi could possibly be related they do both look alike.
Add the new backstory of Taka and Mufasa and it shows even more reasoning of resentment towards Sarabi in the past and Zira may have been jealous for a long time. But Sarabi supposedly lost her entire pride to Kiros before she met up with Mufasa and Taka..
You say that people wouldn't like Kiara and kovu being cousins and mates but Simba and Nala are cousins cause Nala's mother saraphina is Simba mother sarabi's sister

maybe the reason we never seen sarabi in the second movie or in the lion guard is that zira killed sarabi before cubs in the movie and series could be why zira's lion pride was kicked out of the pride lands. though i always thought the one lioness that said my how you grow to kiara before the first hunt was sarabi. but could of been nalas mother as well
Vitani looks like Scar, so does Nuka, so they both could be Zira and Scar’s cubs but Kovu was adopted. Or Vitani and Kovu are adopted. But Zira said Kovu was ladt born before Simba exiled them, so Kovu was born either to Zira or another lioness, then given to Zira before Simba returned.
I mean kovu and vitani are not scar real kids but nuka on the other hand he is the real kid of scar
I think Vitani might be as well. She’s pretty clearly a litter older than Kovu.
@@tell-me-a-story- Kovu is not Zira or Scar’s. He was stolen as a cub. But Vitani and Nuka are. Kovu was chosen as the successor because of the banishment timing.

Nuka, Kovu, and Vitani were born into beiing the outcasts, but what about the othe lionesses ? It doesn't nake sense with how quickly they turned the other leaf, they couldn't have liked Scar's rule...the pride was starving and the lands litterly dried up why would anyone want to follow Scar ? ( like I said unless they would be in love with Scar like Zira probbebly was )

@@flashharriet5531 if I'm not mistaken Nuka and Victani was born already when they were banished, it explained it in the lion guard episode, but basically all of the outlander lions were banished mainly because they refused to follow Simba's lineage, since they saw scar as the rightful king

Sarabi is Simba's mom, while Simba is Kiara's dad, which Kiara is the mate of Kovu, and Kovu is the step-son of Zira, making Zira the same generation as Simba, one generation under Sarabi, they may not be sisters

Wow wierd about kovu and kira are still related cause its a fact that the king lion actually mates with all the female lions which means that mufasa whould have at least had a child with zira maybe.
