Logan Browning, Antoinette Robertson & Ashley Blaine Featherson On Netflix's "Dear White People"

- Set against the backdrop of a predominantly white Ivy League university where racial tensions bubble just below the surface, "Dear White People" is a hilarious send-up of “post-racial” America that weaves together the universal story of finding one’s own identity and forging a wholly unique path. The satirical series -- which picks up where the acclaimed 2014 film by the same name left off - follows a group of Winchester University’s students of color as they navigate a diverse landscape of social injustice, cultural bias, political correctness (or lack thereof) and sometimes misguided activism in the millennial age. Stars Logan Browning, Antoinette Robertson & Ashley Blaine Featherson paid a visit to BUILD to have a conversation about the Netflix series.

As a white woman I have to say that I really love the show and I don't get why people are so butthurt about it and go hatefully trolling others (but I don't get hatefull trolling in general ;) ). It is a great show which just shows real problems of both sides of the curtain. It makes me think a lot about issues in the world that black people have to face and about my own behavior.
Can't wait for season 3.
I never heard a women use the term( but hurt) I can see as a black man why some people may not like the show
maybe white people are tried getting all of the blame for the problems of black community .Why should white americans be sympathetic to a group of people that they themselves did nothing to,IT is completely evil to profile
any group base off race. Dear white people is a racist show, because all white people are not racist which this show
implies that all white people have a racist agenda. I watch the show and I like the show. However I except that the AA community is a very racist. Also all black people don't share the same experiences !!!!!!!!!
I honestly hate the idea that trolls are just teens or someone in their moms basement. Nah. Trolls are your doctors, lawyers, computer programmers, neighbors. These girls are gorg.
Jo and Coco..my God they are the definition of drop dead gorgeous.
All these ladies are beautiful but Ashley. My god. She's gorgeous to me.
Totally agree, Ashley is like out-of-this-world beautiful
My god they are all freaking STUNNING.
Beautiful smart black women. I loved this dialogue, I am a fan of the show!
I binge watched season two and it’s hilarious.
Joe H Moore I finished in a weekend omg season 3 already
I watched season 2 in 2 days and I LOVE IT! Much better than season 1, which wasn't bad at all. Season 2 really tackled different issues and dynamics and felt more real to me. All 3 of these queens are beautiful and played their characters extremely well.
I feel exactly the same way!
THEY HAVE TO GET A SEASON THREE THE SHOW ENDED ON A CLIFF HANGER!
While I wait for season 3 I will put as many people on to DWP as possible
This show is so good, I love that the actresses are so excited about the content that is about to grace our screens ! Hopefully the show gets renewed for a third series! Can't wait to see the volume 2!
THEY ARE SO BEAUTIFUL OMG
these girls are beautiful
I thoroughly appreciate this entire conversation 🙌🏿
Ashley & Antoinette are so beautiful 😍
John Homes umm looks are subjective. Just because YOU think she is the best looking I don’t !
John Homes lol because I find the other women more beautiful I’m insecure? Do you see how crazy you are ? In your small mind there is no way darker skinned women can be more beautiful without some agenda ?
Additionally do you see all these other comments praising Logan ?? but met me guess you have no issue with that. Your issue is not about exclusion your issue is about exclusion of light skinned people.
John Homes save your pseudoscience it’s not working here the other women are more beautiful than her ! I never called her ugly & the fact it gets people like you to write essays about it says a lot!
OH Hello Girl he or she sounds mad dumb. I think all three are beautiful but Ashley and Antoinette are just so gorgeous to me. The only agenda there is is the agenda of keeping light skins above dark skins. Now that dark skin women are loving themselves ppl like this troll don’t want that and gaslight dark skin women by calling them jealous.
so this is what Sasha did with her life after quitting the Bratz :)
Logan Browning is so damn fine it makes no sense. The first time I saw her I thought damn who is that box of brown sugar ?
Ashley is too pretty. I wonder how her friends can avoid just staring at her in awe all the time.
That makeup looks like GLASS!!!! AHHH LOVE!
Ashley and Antoinette>> Ughh so gorgeous I cannot!
I don't think anyone was prepared for how amazing all of these ladies represented. Deep, thoughtful, insightful and inspiring. I'm very proud of them.
I love them
Wow you are all wonderful. Thank you
Antoinette"Coco" is stunning. The most beautiful by far. The other two are pretty, but there is a serene sweetness about Antoinette. Her skin is flawless. Someone to marry. I just want to protect her like a Priceless Doll.
My eyes could not possibly be rolling further into the back of my skull
All three are gorgeous but for some reason Logan makes my heart tingle when I see her. She's incredible.
That's honestly how I feel about Ashley...I feel like words such as "beautiful" and "stunning" are just not enough to describe her
Awesome interview and Q&A!
They're so interesting im in love (also their voices are so soothing its amazing)
Beautiful intelligent ladies 😍
This show is wildly entertaining. I love those three women. As a Swede I probably have a much less complex relationship with the subject matter than most fans I imagine.
Love the show and Logan Browning is sooooooooooooooo fine
She is. But, they all are beautiful, tbh.
John Homes lmao you’re everywhere caping for Logan hard. Your colorist persona is showing.
i soo love coco, she's the most intellectual and she has a lovely voice damn, the weave kills it but she's cute
KAIZOMATH POLYMATH I don’t know why she wears it , she has beautiful curly hair
Sam and Joelle have the same earrings
Great interview, interviewer!!. All three young women here are phenomenally representing.
That show is lit

Beautiful black women...
The outfits♥
great women, love the show ♥️
BREATHE TAKINGLY BEAUTIFUL😍
Lovely intelligent lady's!!
logan’s eyes are so fucking pretty-
season 3 me please..
Does the show address other issues? For example, the struggles that light skinned Black women and Biracial (half black and half white) women face? I hope so. This would be reason enough to give the show a try.
thestars .night yes it does cover issues that light skinned black women face as well as dark skinned black women. All throughout the season her struggles along with Everyone else’s is brought up again and again so it’s not like they just quickly brush over these issues either. Me being a dark skinned women i personally can’t relate to “the light skinned struggle” but this series definitely clarified what it’s like being light skinned and another benefit is you will also learn how life is like being of darker color as well. I think this show will definitely intrigue most audiences and teach them new issues that black people face as a whole.
Am I the only one who wants sam and reggie to get together in scene 3( if they have one)
Have a crush on Logan
Ashley is so damn beautiful! And those LIPSS omgg 😮💨😮💨
I literally want to stare at Ashley's face all day...
Lets talk about it but Logan is the lead..
Also the debate which is fascinating.. do you represent yourself as a black actor or as just an actor who happens to be African American. I felt Antoinette & Ashley had 2 takes on it. I feel that yes you are a black actress which is evident buuut what more are you and/or can represent about this character you're about to interpret. To agree w. Antoinette we are multi layered humans NOT to take away from anyone's ethnicity or culture, Ashley at the end of the day if you want more roles, you just kinda pigeon holed yourself w. only one representation of yourself.
trolling is fun
College was not about self-discovery for me. I don't know where they get that cliche shit from like it applies to all people. Already knew everything I wanted and know about myself when I went. Also I'm from the south too, but we don't do sugar in our grits.
S-wo So you didn’t discover anything new in college about yourself? About how you retain information, or how social you are or discovered new passions you never knew or had difficult times that taught you about how you handle situations? Interesting. University was great for me! I was a teenager who was growing up and moving out for the first time. I discovered a part of myself but not my complete self as that journey is still going on. I immersed myself fully into the uni experience and I found it truly enriching, eye opening and expensive 😩😂😂 I guess we all experience things differently
If you didn’t learn new things about yourself or the world while away at college then you did it wrong imo
Ugh what's the steps to do it?
Nah. I went to a community college first and then went to a university in my twenties and got the bachelor's in a year. Basically same shit different environment.
Thank you
Why do I get the feeling of a small dose of tension between Logan & Ashley? Is it cause one's a light skin biracial sister & the other is a dark skin sister? Btw Antoinette clearing up she's not gay..damnn (lmfao) kinda harsh the way it came out but respected.
roxxylala26 if that’s the case then why no tension btw Antoinette and Logan? I didn’t sense any tension at all.
i don’t see any tension between them and if there is tension, why is it automatically racial? They all seem like good friends
Brittanychampion90 Well, I sensed it when they were each explaining "colorism" in the black community.
roxxylala26 because it’s an angsty subject? When I discuss colourism with my mixed race friend things CAN get tense. Doesn’t mean that the friendship isn’t real
Tbh they seem to be really great friends
