So beautiful. I very love when you used the dark blue and brown shade to do the shadow and blend over with the green. It looks smooth and perfect. thanks for sharing

Oh wow. Emma. You are full of surprises. He is gorgeous. What feathery details. I have some local birds I want to paint so these tutorials are coming at the right time. Thank you Emma.

Hullo Emma A beautiful bird and an excellent preview of your full length version over on Patreon! I have followed along several of your full length videos and can say if anyone is thinking about it or on the fence You gotta give it a GO! Your backgrounds are always so wonderful and fitting for each of the paintings I have had the pleasure to view! Thanks again for all of your videos and amazing painting examples.

Thank you! I'm enjoying painting birds. Must get back to photograph some more and keep my most vibrant pastels out for a while :-)

I'm a lover of parrots and I have an African Gray. I' m trying to reproduce your stunning painting. It is the first attempt for me with my new Sennelier soft pastels. It is difficult and I already did a lot of mistakes but I'm going on. thank you!

Do you alway mix soft pastels with pencil pastels ? i find using soft pastels for a background the colours will never dry.,this is brilliant.

Not sure what you mean by never drying as it's a dry medium. But yes I use mostly the soft pastels and just a little pastel pencil for smallest details. It's the sticks I enjoy the most.
