Good review. It shows how good the S9 still is after 3 generations. Even though in the end of the video you can see the s9 fails to keep some heavier aps in the ram. I will tell you what - in everyday life, none of you will keep 3-4 heavy games and many other aps in the background running, hence, you will not encounter this at any point. I have S9 (not plus) exynoss model for almost 2 and a half years. It's very fast, even with 4GB ram, it switches between aps as a champ and can run any game or app. Of course it's battery has seen better days (maybe due to poor battery efficiency of the exynoss cpu), but still can more or less get me true the day with a full charge with medium usage. Great phone.
imagine ever buying a new phone when older phones are 1000$ cheaper and only slightly slower, to a point where most people wouldn't notice the difference
I upgraded but I can't imagine replacing my s21U for at least 5 years. The video and camera quality is astonishing. That's about the only difference (& size duh)
Am I the only one who is looking at the S9+ display for the whole video! I mean, whatta great looking device it was at it’s time and still rocking with today's standard. Great job Samsung.

Honestly the last fee years of new phone releases have been crap. The only major selling points are higher stats that don't ammount to much in real world use (half a second speed increase is barely noticeable), screen refresh from 60 to 120 (yes this is good, but it also drains battery faster and the computer will turn it off a lot of times), and then camera quality. Which again, realistically speaking makes very little difference for real world use. If you need a $1k+ camera buy an actual camera. Other than that, very little has actually changed. Oh and 5g, I forgot that. In the meantime, the s21 uses a lower resolution screen than the 9, actually has lost some features the 9 had, and due to the camera masturbation has gotten UGLIER. I dont see any reason to upgrade from the 9 to the 21. In fact im looking at the folding ones right now because they still have the specs a user actually needs and actually have interesting functions. Samsung needs to step it up with the 22 because the past two gens have been carried by their brand name, not the phone itself.
I just placed mine in the Box to be sent back to T-Mobile because I traded it to get the S21 Ultra 512gb. I swear it's breaking my heart to do this because I really loved this phone. Can't tell if S21U is really that much bigger than the S9+. I have S9+, and got it the day it got released. I've been really happy with it, but the main problems I have it is the heating and lagging. Yeah, that's not true. With the screen off, plugged into my stereo with Android Auto the phone was overheating all of the time. It was one of my deciding factors to go ahead and upgrade. The S21 Ultra runs like a champ. No issues.
Just overheated mine last week. Margin for s21u is way better for performance to prevent pushing too hard. I got $800 on s9+ trade and would have kept it longer since I did battery a couple months ago, but to upgrade from 3 years of use for a few hundred bucks it seemed like I had to do it. I almost went with the s21+ for free, but figured if upgrading might as well go all out since I would be going into contract either way and hope to get 4-5 years out of the s21 ultra since 5g is starting to pick up.
