- Hello My UA-cam Family! Headed to Yellowstone stop by this little town on your way in.
West Yellowstone is a town in southern Montana. It’s a gateway to Yellowstone National Park, known for the huge Old Faithful geyser and the Grand Canyon of the Yellowstone. The park is home to wildlife like elk and bison. In town, the Grizzly and Wolf Discovery Center offers the chance to get close to bears and wolves. Housed in an old train depot, Yellowstone Historic Center traces local history and transportation.

I use to live in the town of West Yellowstone many years ago and the "Running Bear" had the best food ever. I loved their pancakes 🥞🌟

Thank you for the tour!!I went to school there my freshman year of high school and lived on the same street as the dude motel..me and my cousin were chased by a grizzly down that street going home one day!!!boy it has changed tremendously since I was last there in the early eighties...my parents managed the Westin best western motel there years later

If it is the same one, I stayed in that Best Western years ago with my family as a child. A fun day! Did it again in the 90s but stayed in the park.

yeah, hard to believe that West Yellowstone and Yellowstone NP are in different states
I stayed at The Western Ho Motel. Three bears was my favorite breakfast place.

We live on the east coast. Flying is our option to get to Yellowstone. If staying in West Yellowstone, what is the best airport to fly into?

Depends on if you care about which airline. you can fly into Jackson WY (for Grand Teton NP) or Bozeman as well. Its a good idea to fly into BZN or JAC and out of the other to save time and driving distance.
The drive from Bozeman to West Yellowstone is beautiful.
We are planning to go to Yellowstone this summer. I booked a condo and it does not have air conditioning unit. What is the temperature during summer time?
In June High 70 Low 37, In July High 82 Low 42 and in August High 80 Low 39. Remember these are just the averrages.

We've stayed at Yellowstone Hotel (the big yellow hotel on the lake) and enjoyed it, just another suggestion 👍

@@jgehbinv Pro's is the sheer beauty of the hotel! The lobby is amazing and inviting. Con's is the pricing, they have some truly amazing & beautiful rooms but we couldn't afford them.
