Spotting in Nevis !!! Trans Anguilla Islander, FedEx - DHL Caravan, Coastal Air Cessna 402...

- This was my first time spotting in Nevis....sadly after the first flight the weather got a bit nasty. The wind started to pick up and basically messed up the last part of this video with all that wind in the microphone. At a point in time the controller on duty told me the wind was gusting at 26 knots which blew the dead cat right off of my mike :(. Beside the annoying wind you still have some great footage in the video...I was lucky to get more footage on a sunny day...enjoy :)
To get to Nevis i have to do a 35 - 40 minute drive depending on traffic to the end of St. Kitts in the south to catch a car ferry, this service is the closest and takes the same 35- 40 minutes to reach Nevis then from there its a 15 minute drive to the Airport in Nevis !!!

Beautiful airport and even better drive from the airport to the jetty to catch the ferry to St Kitts with a herd of sheep roaming on the road side.
St Kitts airport though bigger and hosting International flights kind of lacks Nevis airport charm.
Visited way back in 2007 to cober the security of ICC CWC 2007. Much love from India

Awesome video. I remember bk in the day when the runway first got extended there was much much more traffic including Falcons and citations etc. But at 4000' plus a displaced threshold the runway really isn't long enough for anything above a king air or a beech 1900 (plus the dash 8s and atr 42). I have plenty of ideas of how tkpn can regain its former glory but local politicians never listen.
i know American eagle use to be weight limited on there way out back with the ATR 72's

Got a wicked closeup of the Islander yesterday. Doing the check and it taxi right past us and took off. Pretty nice, and loud 🤣

@@skbenergy Nevis, same security dude that let you in the day you went spotting. Was going doing a check and we went down to 10 and we stopped so it could taxi out and takeoff but i was at the end already so i got a close up recorded
