- Join RNG for our first Star Wars Unlimited deck profile: Luke Shield Midrange Mono Blue Vigilance. This deck takes advantage of Rebel synergy with Force wielders to use cards like The Force is With Me and Vigilance for huge value swings mid game. It has a great matchup vs aggro decks and can usually close out games before control gets out of hand.

Nice deck build Thank You I did not know you need to buy the starter two player for a lot of these cards. Luke's Lightsaber and R2D2 for example. Keep that in mind if you are going for this deck.

Hey RNG! I remember you from the old DBZ CCG days! Glad to see you are playing SWU. Deck looks solid! I don't know how valuable Bendu is (since he reduces costs of non aligned spells), more Upgrades (either the generic Jedi Lightsaber or the Restore Upgrade) might be better here!
Bendu has won me several games! My issue with equipment in general is they are answered too easily by removal early game. They are risky. You ideally want them on your leader or on end game units. I do have both final copies of each lightsaber in the side for certain MUs
Yeah you should play Dragon Ball Masters, a superior game that plays with so much theme, fun, and complex strategy! That said, I’m also playing Star Wars for fun 🙌🏻😎💪🏻🐉🟠

Definitely. The rares here are cheap / easy to get and you don’t really need Luke unit . Just replace him with a 3rd Obiwan and a 2nd Ghost and go off ! Good luck and enjoy the game !
I think protector is missing 1 cost to turn anything into a sentinel is really hard to deal with for a lot of decks. Especially aggro.
Protector was in v1 of this main deck . Problem with it is it’s only useful early game (most of our late game units are already sentinel ) and on early game units with only +1 HP, it was answered all day by simple removal . Trading 2:1 cards is a fast track to a loss in this game since draw is so valuable. It was dropped cause it didn’t do it’s job , though I can see it as a sideboard add maybe against decks that risk low removal for more aggresssion and attack events . But then they are probably packing Saboteurs to the nines anyway so , I’m on the fence. I give the card 7/10
I have a very similar list, also double blue, but honestly, I feel like the deck is always better positioned when I follow the curve and focus on dealing as much damage as possible directly at the base. The strategy of using shield and trades in the early game seems to work better with Luke Green. In this mono blue version I always like to prioritize curves and when possible do a drop 6 with Luke as a backup to give shield
Yep, I mention this in the video in the beginning when I say I lose games I don't put enough damage into the base. It really depends on the matchup. Against faster decks , you can play slower and trade and use your end game units to win. Against slower decks, you have to be the aggressor and push big damage early. It's one of the things that makes this deck and midrange in general hard to play: knowing when to switch up your strategy.

I like this build! However I only have one vigilance, what would you recommend I replace the miss 2 with? I'm gonna get more boosters and maybe even just buy em off tcg trader or eBay, but I have my 1st organized play event at my local store on Thursday and would love to run a mono blue Luke deck.
There’s no true replacement , the deck will be a lot weaker without vigilance (I noticed a ton since I played it a lot with only 1 myself and then got 2 more). If you wanted swaps for them until you get them I’d go 1 Make an Opening and 1 Vanquish . Vigilance is a board removal plus heal usually so those two will fill the hole til you can snag them up.
@@RandomNumberGaming Oh yea, Vigilance is super good, that card and Bendu are the 2 reasons why I wanted to make a mono blue Luke lead deck. Also thank you for responding so fast, your recommendation really helps. I will swap in those 2 cards and give it a try. I have a mono red Sabine and a Green/Yellow Boba decks, so I should have something to play on thurday.
