I never noticed it before and my mind is always in the gutter 😄. I only noticed it now because a friend of mine pointed out to me, and I wanted to see what all the fuss was about it's not really noticable unless you were looking for it because he's wearing black . And I was more interested in his singing and his beautiful face and dancing and sometimes fighting. Because I have seen The movie a thousand times I even had the DVD years ago.
I don't think so! It seems to me it's an optical illusion, as if the pants fabric folded in some way...I can only see it for a few seconds, and then what... It just vanished? Bone on, bone off? That's not how they usually operate! You just don't bone and de-bone this fast, even if you get killed in the line of ''duty''! Anyways, with that big crowd all around watching, I mean, that huge filming crew needed in the film studios back then, and also after hearing : ''Lights, Cameras, Action! I'm sure his mind was focused on acting more than anything else... And finally, back in the fifties, absolutely everything was scrutinized, triple-checked, verified and heavily subject to censorship! Any insignificant event had a potential of being considered obscene! Anything stepping out of the social norm didn't last very long. Elvis in ''hard wood'' mode, on the big screen? Nah... I just don't buy it!
Elvis told this story about getting an erection. His pants were so tight they always rubbed him! And Col. Tom Parker would not let him wear underwear! Parker was a sicko!!!! Anyway Elvis thought they'd reshoot it. But Parker demanded to Wallis that it get left in the movie!
