    It’s great seeing your work in smaller areas. It gives ideas for people who live in smaller areas.

    Hi Jack! Smaller project with big impact! Wonderful starting from ground, up. Wish that had been done for my garden areas, as everyone has broken concrete and such underground, from homes built. Wish that were an initial law, for builders to clear out from the git go. Ha. Anyway, nice thought out plan for this area, that will, without doubt, be a wonderful setting, with welcoming divided flow! Cheers!

    Thank you for sharing how nice your team can actually make just a regular size back yard become. It’s already looks so inviting to want to be in this back yard. I love it and will be anxious to see how you dress it out next spring.

    I used to lived in Birmingham, and it still is one of the nicest places to live in the metro Detroit area, but the ripping down of old homes, which once gave Birmingham that American hometown feeling continues.

      As others have commented, its nice to see a small yard benefit from a great design plan. I love seeing the huge undertakings on Mackinac Island but this is relatable for alot of homeowners. Is there a reason to wait till Spring for shrubs😊 ? I live in Zone 7 and try to plant trees and shrubs in Fall to get roots growing before the harsh summer heat.🥵

    Very nice!! I love the hard scape layering can still fit so seamlessly even into a small city lot. Was that a seven son flower bush that I spied? Do they grow fast? I’ve been on a hunt for a multi trunk one but the last batch I saw was pruned horribly and single trunk that branched way at the bottom. I’m thinking that would not quite give the look I’m hoping for once it is mature?

    • @JackBarnwellDesign
      @JackBarnwellDesign  Рік тому +1

      Yes- that’s a seven son flower… they are wonderful, and they grow pretty fast, prune easily, and are fun to shape~~

    My garden area is overrun with Bishop’s Weed. I am planning to dig a big hole and scrape off the weed and bury it. I have the space to do that. Any thoughts?

    • @JackBarnwellDesign
      @JackBarnwellDesign  Рік тому

      It would need to be a very deep hole- it is a very resilient plant that will find its way to the surface if it isn’t several feet deep- perhaps, if going this route, you dug a big hole and covered it all in cardboard once it was all in there to smother it further and bury all the cardboard … in time, the cardboard would compost away and likely kill off the bishops weed
