Chrome or nickel satin. Set a Floyd Rose in there without routing it for a floating action, it will probably fit in that preexisting trem cavity with little or no extra filing out, worked for me a few years ago.

Hi Mark, sorry I missed the live cast. Love seeing your work and after each view I'm a step closer to doing something with a Carvin DC-400 neck-thru that I stripped down to wood a few years ago. Great guitar, but it never inspired me the way some guitars I have...so it sits. Looking forward to seeing how this project comes out, keep up the great work and content!
Good see u back man. I'd go with black hardware it will look good on there and put a emg single coil in the neck leave the middle open and a 81x in the bridge.

Hey Mark, I think that guitar is coming out really sick, and if I was you I would give it the Mark Murry touch and put all gold hardware on it. I think it would really pop against the black paint, and if it was my guitar I would want a neck pick up for the style of music I play and the kind of shred solos I do I like having the neck pick up but that’s just me keep up the great work rock on bro 🤘🏼🤘🏼🤘🏼🎸🎸🎶

Have you considered satin clear coat over the rust? Imo the shininess of gloss clear takes a bit away from the rugged rust aesthetics

nice!!! I'd go with cosmo black (or black chrome) hardware in this one! maybe a mini-humbucker in the neck, but I'm ok leaving the cavities empty too.

No joke, I got this exact guitar (but w/swimming pool under the PG) in a bulk deal. LOL Painting the body, not as a finish. Using my Posca pens and acrylic paints.
Great Idea but I wouldn't do it too often. Might get old fast. This one is going to be epic. Single pup no quarter. That's where I would like to see this go.
