I enjoyed this one, Kaya 😊I haven't moved in 15 years and I remember it being a WHOLE process. I hope things are going okay in your new space-I've seen the progress on Insta and it looks like you're making it your own! ❤
Thank you Casey!! Honestly REALLY love our new space, even more than our last if that’s even possible?! Even though it’s smaller! Looking forward to getting to that part of the story 🤣✨
Omg, I can see how overwhelming this was for you both. Im happy you’re at the point were you can share this , and look back and laugh..👍 Im so happy you were able to video this and share it with us!!! Your a true professional Kaya!
Loved seeing your process! We are moving soon, so this was helpful to figure out what to plan for. Also, the product shelf… the ultimate task! I also love how mindful you were about making sure things ended up at a good home and donating places that would use and appreciate the items.
Idk if it’s my hormones right now or what but watching this felt so emotional and relatable for me too even though I’m not moving or purging or downsizing. I definitely understand the importance of letting things go both naturally and spiritually but I feel like when you do in the natural there’s a spiritual impact in some ways too. I loved how intentional you guys were when it came to deciding how to get rid of each thing and making sure it would be put to good use by the new owners.
Ahhhh It makes me emotional when I rewatch it so glad it put someone else in their feels haha. And I think you kinda hit things on the head, this was absolutely a physical move, with letting go of physical things, but ALSO I think we let go of a lot to grow spiritually. So much of what was left behind felt like saying goodbye to our old selves.
He he I love those video , I hope Hong Kong will bring joy and many adventures. Can’t wait to see how you navigate your new city . Love this video 🥹😀🌸 inspiring . Connected through threads 🌸✨🎀
Everything was suitcases! 7 bags total: 5 checked, 2 carry on. 😅 I’ll show a little bit more of a visual of what we moved with in my next video, but nothing was shipped.
Wow...that's impressive! We're preparing for a move and getting everything in just suitcases seems sooooo impossible but ur giving me hope. Good luck in your new adventure!
@ I wish you all the luck!! We said goodbye to a LOT and it was hard to dwindle our life down into suitcases. To be fair, we and have some black and yellow tubs stored at our parents, but the cost of shipping anything overseas for us wasn’t worth it… but it did mean we drained a LOT of money setting up our new home from basically nothing.
Sure … you could’ve definitely used shelves of new hair products in a couple of weeks lol 😂 … I would have done the same thing … just giving things time 😁

Let’s just say… if we had to do this again, we’d do it VERY differently. 😭

Appreciate you!!! CAUSE THE STRUGGLE WAS REAL. 😭
The mini dance party at the end hahaha
Appreciate you for being so vulnerable during the moving process, looking forward to pt2
Thought I'd leave it there as a treat for anyone who made it that far. 🤣
Appreciate you! Looking forward to sharing it!

Thank you Tyler!! Wishing you ALL the luck for your move-the one thing I wish we had done was START EARLIER. 🤣 and of course be more strategic.

@@withmashh 🥹💜 that means so much thank you!! It’s been fun to reflect and put it all together. It felt so chaotic and impossible in the moment 🤣
Your vlog is so beautiful!!! Also I felt that- when i vlogged my move to Paris, it was so chaotic 😂
I really appreciate that, thank you!! Ahahaha right? Vlogging a BIG event is incredibly difficult.

I have a storage unit and each time I go back to Seattle, I'm so frustrated with what I have left despite the amount of stuff I did get rid of.
This is going to be when we visit our family back home.. like WHY DID WE KEEP ALL THIS.
Leaving the stuffed animals behind sounds so tough 🥺🖤
Haha it was toughhh! I ended up bringing two. 😂
Would've been nice to hear how u shipped any of your possessions or did u bring everything in suitcases?
