Bought this record back in 78 as a fresh-faced 18 year old girl. Listening to the "Hearts of Stone" CD today takes me back to when I was dancing in the streets and lovin' every minute of it!
Southside Johnny & The Asbury Jukes...An American Icon...Southside had one of the most awesome band of musicians in rock & soul history...an over the top horn section, Billy Rush on guitar...the list goes on...
I was working at a college radio station in '79 when someone introduced me to this great song. I hadn't heard anything from Southside before, but I was hooked right away. For the next 2 years I was at that college station in Pennsylvania, I played "Take It Inside" almost every show.
Best bar band. I herd them for the first time on the old WBCN in Boston. Since then, I’ve seen them at Hampton Beach in NH Boston and last year at in Woonsocket RI
Amen!! I could not agree w/ you more friend; these kids today had poor music instruction! No horns! Wheres the sax instraments? Just guitar and drums and they clang, cannot stand it!! Johnny for R&R HOF Cleaveland, Ohio

Great tune, album and one of the most underrated bands especially live in their prime. I saw them at The Paladium Downton NYC and they were thrilling!
GO JOHNNY GO!! INDUCT HIM INTO R&R HOF in Cleaveland, Ohio, for sure
This is SOOOOO wonderful...one of THE greatest songs ever made. Thanks so much for this

One of my favorite albums of all time! Not taking this inside, Mr Van Zandt!!
Made it in R.S.'s Top 100 albums of all time. Deservedly so.
Hearts of Stone is such a great album. Johnny's voice, lyrics like these and that horn section. Doesn't get better than that for me.
Thanks so much.

You have to laugh....this nothing of a song is better than 99% of the stuff that has come out in the last ten years
