Just discovered your channel and WOW you are amazing! So inspiring, talented and already a natural :) Documenting these years in your life online will be so cool to look back on and see everything you've accomplished. I'm excited for you and all your upcoming videos!
Your apartment is so spacious! I love how much storage space you have everywhere. I'm also a MS1 this year, I hope the pandemic hasn't affected your studies too much. Excited to follow your journey☺️
Do you uber to school? or can you walk to school? is it safe enough to walk in the neighbourhood? Thanks! You make Kaiser Permanente sound really cool!
Hi, I’m from California but many of my classmates are from out of state and drove or flew in. Wherever you go to med school, I think it’s best to apartment search earlier than later!
@@leandrad.9774 they dont have housing for medical students? is that how it is for the longest time in usa education system? what if im a international student? how would i find housing?
Thank you so much for documenting your journey at KPSOM to inspire future applicants like myself. There is not an abundance of information out there right now, so these are REALLY valuable for those of us who really want to go there. That being said, I'm curious how long of a commute do you have to KP and how does So Cal commuter traffic affect it? How would you rate your commute compared to anything your fellow classmates may have described? I'm from SoCal but not Pasadena specifically so I'm curious if you get bad commuter traffic on the 210 west in the morning and vice versa. Also how is the nearest In-N-Out? (Important questions here lol). If the questions are too personal, that's also totally understandable. Once again, thank you for documenting this process!
Hi! Many of my classmates live close enough and are able to walk to school easily. Some others live a bit farther and drive in; it all depends on your preference! I can’t speak about traffic because I don’t need to drive far to get to school. In terms of traveling to our clinic sites, the school provides transportation services through Lyft. I haven’t had much traffic on the way to my clinical site!
I am a first gen college student and look forward to becoming a Doctor one day, How do you afford the living situation? Is it mainly through loans ? Just curious
It all depends on your living situation, but most 1bedroom apartments in the area near school are around $2,000 or more. There is a housing coordinator who helps all the students find places :)
Your apartment is so nice! Goals for me in the future!!!
So happy for you, Leandra!! Good luck on your journey ❤

Hi, I received a scholarship to cover my living expenses.
@@leandrad.9774 Thank you for responding! That response makes me want to work harder for my dreams! I wish you best in your studies :)
How much is rent for the apartment there? I'm applying to med school this upcoming cycle and wanna to go KP also!

@@leandrad.9774 How did you justify paying for 1 bed in SoCal? Isn't it significantly more expensive than splitting a 2 bed?

@@leandrad.9774 Thanks. My family member goes to UCR. I hope he could be like you someday.
How many gap year did you take before starting school
Hi there! I didn’t take any gap years
Is there many UCR students accepted to Kaiser like you I was curios? Thx.
All the class statistics should be posted online! I think there are 4 students from UCR.
