A different way to get on the stair area. and once you're done with phase one, there's a cheese for phase 2 that allows you to go on top of the dome you're fighting and damage him from up there without him being able to hit you. But you do have to kill the adds spawning, or they'll kill you instead.
This video helped me solo calus. the secret is the MG and the dot from witherhoard. You sir, are awesome. Also, My energy weapon was void Targeted Redaction (HC) with triple tap and explosive payload. one tapped the projectiles and the psions.

I used your strat of focusing tormentors. Also, if you strand when they jump on the upper platforms and unload with quicksilver storm, the rockets push it off the edge, and they instantly die. It helped me a lot. And usung adds to get super right before phase 2, then dropping super, health circle, and 2 melees pretty much killed him.
Tor mentors are made easy since you are strand empowered meaning your grenades is on 3 second cooldown at most just use the suspend grenade it works on bot the tormentors & the cabal incendiors. between a witherhord & a heavy machine gun it makes short work of both of them, As warlock I ran the necrotic grip/suspend build & used a thorn but could have just as easily used the withorde/suspend build. suspend apply DoT rinse repeat until they expire.
I completed the legendary campaign with all 3 classes and I gotta say, strand hunter with Assassin’s Cowl was by far the easiest way to beat this mission, the only thing you need is a disorientating GL and you just grapple and melee everything, go invisible and heal because of the exotic and you are basically immortal
Me when soloing calus using 3 different class Hunter: Haha whip goes SPLASH SPLASH Warlock: T-posing him while he get tick damage Titan: ONE PUUUUUUUUUUUUUUNCH!!!!!
@@Zaidy_Waidy playing on legenday makes this way harder and the tormenters become even tanker, if you dont take them out quickly the will follow you and make it difficult, that why you use liners, smg for add clear
Or just use well with starfire protocol. Use your emp rift do kill him in the first phase and don’t care about the tormentors. Get a good distance from him so you can pair it with a rocket for more dps, demo helps a lot. When he gets to his second phase, get to one of the circular platforms and pop a well there. From here just spam your witherhoard and your abilities. If you need to shoot him with a primary do it too if you really have to. Took me 2 tries with this.
So the 2nd phase grapple is a must.. but i use Tangles for the 1st phase.. handles the Tormenters muuuuch easier.. with Strand empowerment your tangles recharhe vefore the last one runs out
I also used the stag for my solo run but for loadouts I used ignition code to blind the tormentor after getting rid of the ads and calus for crit spots and grapple punching him to conserve heavy arm which was anarchy for the next phase, after I killed both tormentors and finished the first phase I shoot 2 shots of anarchy on calus and kept playing rind around the roses with him on the boxes cause his attacks dont reach and kept shooting 2 shots of anarchy till he dies
Impressive! I also don't have these weapons, I died over 50 times! Also, when I reached this stage of the campaign I was only about 1700 light, so it was extremely tough for me. Where does that Witherhoard come from anyway?
Sadly not, you’ll have to go do lost sectors to get the other armor piece. I’m working on a build guide right now, but after that I can make some lost sector builds to help if your lower light
You made it so easy, using new cheese died often from jumped to the behind stair or jump after wanna went to dome 🙂 , even on normal many times killed not by Tormentor but by ads, very annoying all 3 characters stuck with this mission from released day, very sad.
Yeah. Beating it on solo legendary does give you a triumph, but nothing else. Beating it with a fireteam will still give you an exotic, as long as you beat the other missions on Legendary
Light is capped for the legendary campaign missions. Doesn’t matter how high it is, it brings you down to 1725.... or something close to it can’t remember lol
Were you on Legendary? That's the only way to get one of the two exotics. If you were, check back on the missions and see if any of them were cleared on normal. Worse case, you might have to grind out lost sectors
@@Camdynslife the only way to get one of the new exotics 100% is to beat every campaign mission on legendary. It’ll be a grind to get both from lost sectors, but not impossible
I had this issue after completing legendary. Was confused as hell. You collect your reward from the vendor Nimbus. I never received it and was puzzled turned out that the 1st mission wasn’t done on legendary??? Though I did.
Sorry bro, but this guide is useless... All people kill him with striga on the 1st fight, then finish him from the safe zone. And ur deer helmet doesn't help you to survive. There is much better build. Especially with the strand boost

Not sure if it's because I've had a year or so off Destiny 2 or not, but doing this with a Hunter was such a challenge.

I reccomend using BXR instead of Chelchis, as it does really well with ad clear and can quickly remove the projectiles Calus shoots.

Damn, Witherhoard made all the fcn difference.
Titans trivialise the tormentors. They were soo easy to take down it was ridiculous once I figured it out.
If u run hunters, make sure to run liner fusion and a energy smg it makes it easy bc hunters have to run around a lot more

Disorienting grenades make the tormentor just stand around doing nothing. If you have trouble beating them I recommend brining a grenade launcher.
I finished the legendary campaign today, only to get NOTHING from nimbus. No Swarmers..the only reason i did this shit.
