honestly, you've saved my econ hl grades. like every other student, i procrastinated and refused to study until the very last day with no knowledge about the content coming for my exams. THANK YOU, you're literally a lifesaver, i jumped from a lower four to a lower six within one exam with your help. i hope you're doing well wherever you are, blessings to you dal
I am studying International business at the moment. This video is very helpful. I like the way you explain all the 6 differents trading agreements. Thank you. Can you do a video about WTO?
I have one query. I don't know whether you check your comments or not. What is the role of the members in trading blocs. Let's take thr example of MERCOSUR, what's the role of its four members
PTA - EU tariff free access to get reduced quota in return FTA - no trade barriers but can trade with any other country how they want Customs Union - FTA but no trade elsewhere Common Market/Single Market - deeply integrated custom market with free movement and shared regulation Economic and Monetary Union - same as before and same currency and same monetary policy like eurozone Full economic integration - one country
is common market another way of saying single market? my specification (AQA) puts big emphasis on the EU as a Single market (Single European Market)? so are the features/costs/benefits the same?
Harsh B The customs union has a common external tariff for non members, while in a FTA each of the members can decide upon whatever protectionism they like against non members.
+smrithi sampath I'm doing my AS level at the moment. Would be great if you replied :) And, I love your videos. You're saving me from failure! Thanks :D

Whats the difference between FTA and customs union?
Harsh B The customs union has a common external tariff for non members, while in a FTA each of the members can decide upon whatever protectionism they like against non members.
Evdoku thanks. If interest rate are 0.05 % in eu which is lower than the UK, would this be attractive for foreign direct investment? Or not
