In this episode, D.O. interviews Andrew Wagner with Churchill Mortgage. Andrew entered the mortgage industry straight out of college just five years ago.
By his second full year he became a top producer with over $40 million in volume funded. From there he has only increased his production and therefore the commissions earned. Listen to how simple success is for those like Andrew who are not afraid to put in the hours, stay dedicated and not give up.

I like that Andrew seems pretty transparent and honest. He's not trying to be like anyone else, instead he is focused on providing good service and continuing to grow and learn. Kudos!! Sage advice from someone young in years but old in experience.

It's nice to see an episode of someone who's not naturally an extrovert and succeeding and to see someone make it from the ground up.

This interviewer LOVES the sound of his own voice!! nearly every answer by Andrew triggered a 30 second - 1 minute rant and then he switches directions which led to a bad, choppy flow to the interview. Audience would love to actually hear more of what Andrew had to share instead of listening to this guy dominate the conversation with what he has going on. Comical almost

Honestly it’s not all the interviewers fault, Andrew is a bit low energy and gives less than stellar answers. The guest lacks articulation, enthusiasm, charisma that I honestly wonder how he closes so many deals. It’s no wonder the interviewer has to pump up it up a notch just to add some life to the episode. 😂

Thank you so much for this episode. It gives me so much encouragement. I’m 6 months into the industry with only about 1.2 million closed. So hearing that he hit 10 million in his full first year and then much more after that really inspires me. Thanks! Good job Andrew.

Great episode. I loved Andrew's advice of building relationships not only with your referral partners but also with your industry peers.

Right @ minute 16 Andrew said something that really hit home for me...... "that you really need to have someone right there to communicate with in the beginning. Having that person there, with the experience, was extremely beneficial"......THAT IMO is what is lacking in most lending situations I've found. I've been in real estate for over 30 years & I don't think I would have been half as successful as I was had it not been for a great broker/manager to guide me & be available for questions, etc. I'm just entering the MLO side of real estate lending &, especially b/c almost everything is done remotely now, I am missing that mentorship.... thus me finding this podcast.

Like real estate brokerages, who you train from is a big factor in your future success. The industry is surprisingly small, even though it seems big at times.

I see the event is in Tampa west chase. I used to live in that area but am now in Cookeville, Tennessee. I just reverted the industry and am a week and half in with my company and I’m so inspired right now with this interview! Wish I was still in Tampa to attend. Hopefully I’ll catch an event in Nashville, Knoxville or Chattanooga.

I haven't even gone thru 10 mins of this podcast, I don't hear Andrew finished his own story. You cut him off too much! Is it his story or your story? Just because he's an introvert, you should let him tell his story. After all, this is what the podcast about right?
