    This is vital information. I give training in V-Ray and the number of people who use 3d rendering software and don't know anything about photography and exposure is mind-boggling ! Great video and thanks for taking the time to produce all of this !

    In the first part of the video you said, lower shutter speed means you get a sharper image and higher shutter speed can do motion blur but when you were using it in 3dsmax you increased the shutter speed to freeze the car... this thing got me confused a bit.
    Thanks for creating such amazing content.

    • @ArchVizArtist
      @ArchVizArtist  2 роки тому +1

      Value 50 is actually 1/50, 200 is 1/200 (it's inverted), higher number in 3ds max is actually lower value :D

    Thanks for the tutorial, love the simple explanation of everything, helps alot! Subscribed to your chanel, keep up the good work :)
    Just a quick thought, on the start you are calculating how expensive photography hobby is and how we as 3d artists don't need to worry bout it..well actually if you calculate all the software costs (for example 3dsmax+renderers) which are paid annualy for like 2,5k every year, and all the subscriptions to like texture's sites and 3D model sites, and if you add your hardware costs of good enough computer, monitors and everything, I think a good 3D artist, over a few years spends as much or even more as a photographer :D

      @ArchVizArtist  4 роки тому +1

      Hehe, thank you for your kind words. I was actually expecting this comment ;) Camera in the software is included, so you don't have to pay extra for it. I agree with you though, we have a lot of expenses too ;) We made this intro to emphasize how great cameras we have in the software.

    Thx for the video. For corona i always use simple exposure... are you saying by using photographic iso that the renders will look more realistic?

    • @ArchVizArtist
      @ArchVizArtist  4 роки тому

      I use automatic exposure most of the time, I'm just saying that it's very usefull to understand this concept. For exapmle using simple exposure you might get a result that would be imposible in real life ;) So it's good to keep this in mind and learn it using normal camera too.
