In my opinion, that just translates to Hadi not wishing to compete in the Olympia ever again. This has happened historically in the past. He can move on to the Arnold classic and still make a great career out of it. Keep in mind that he’s 36 years old and it’s extremely taxing on the body given the amount of PEDs they need to push.

It really is as simple as this… if you value conditioning most of all, Hadi won. If you value aesthetics most of all, Derek won. Based off the 212 winner who was more aesthetic but less conditioned, it was obvious who was going to win the Olympia. Set aside you biases and open your eyes. Hadi finished second amongst the best bodybuilders on planet earth. He just wasn’t quite good enough to beat one guy who happens to have 1-100,000,000 genetics.

Politics. They want Derek to be the face of bodybuilding. First he won 212 over Clarida and was given a special invite to compete in open. They then give him second place over Nick walker who was clearly superior. Then they come back next year and give him the win with the smoothest chest, arms, and abs I’ve ever seen on an Olympia champion. Bodybuilding will never go back to the popularity it had when it was on ESPN. Too many people have died and the mainstream media will never push a steroid driven sport. With that in mind, the winner should just be the best guy. Derek has an amazing back but Hadi was the best guy. I’m definitely not excited for the lundsford era if this is the package that wins. Hopefully a new guy emerges in 2024.

Hadi tried to rely on dehydration to make up for lack of gains, and Derek gained massive since last year. On improvement alone he earned this title, but he had a lot more than simply improvement, not the least of which was a good attitude about the possibility of taking 2nd. 🤷♂️

5. This year apart from last year it has been cleared that BODYBUILDING is now shifted from MASS ➡️ AESTHETICS
6. HADI was without a doubt a clear winner in the pre-judging itself

You are right. I think they were quite matching with Hadi slightly better but Derek is a better Ambassador for the sport. It came down to a political choice.
I don't like people bashing Hadi for walking away after. He congratulated all the competitors and also took the picture with all before leaving. It is understandable he is upset. It was a close call and he had no flaws. He didn't disrespect any of the competitors.

Hadi clearly got robbed. He is so much bigger, and the only pose he lose to Derek is the BDB.
Hadi clearly takes the FLS, SC, RLS, MM, Abs and Thigh, and so on.
Also Derek is super soft and lack separation from the front + there was huge lumps on his lats from the front, the same thing Ramy was marked down, but in reality it was politics.

This is the first I’ve seen of tonight’s event. I’ll say this that Hadi’s a heck of a champion & has seemed like a nice guy on the surface from what I’ve seen. The world has no problem with an Iranian or Islamic champion. It’s what you bring to the sport & character that counts, but it’s real that the unattractiveness of the current Iranian regime didn’t do him any favors. It’s a crying shame if the geopolitics has stolen from him. I imagine the Olympia wants to distance themselves from any of the theft that stole from the innocent & children of Oct 7 which was by far greater; they’ll get the joy of completing in nothing never. It’s unfair to Hadi that he should be side stepped on account of that, but they did invite him back, & he did get 2nd place, UNLIKE Shaun Rhoden. For Hadi’s heart as an athlete, I’m sorry. I’m sorry if you feel that way. I’m sure he understood & it broke him that he should pay for idiots, but again 2nd place is different than really being insulted. Again I’m sorry.
I’m unqualified to make any contestant judging. I haven’t screened the contestants, & I honestly don’t know all the tells professional judges cue into, but I’m an excellent athlete with over 30yrs experience in sports, over 13yrs sports literature, 26yrs weight training & 25yrs combat sports. I lost a fight once to a guy who never hit me once except for the gut shot I gave him to taunt him. We all get it at some point in life, I certainly have. Sometimes when we win, we lose, the Shah understands. There’s always next year Hadi. 💪🏻 You looked fantastic 👏🏻 keep your heart.

Hadi didn't take 2nd because of geopolitics.
Hadi took 2nd because Derek earned 1st with his back, legs and especially glutes development, with his massive gains and improvement since last year, and because Hadi thought he could make up for his lack of gains with dehydration on the stage.
Derek earned that first place win, Hadi got the best position available for him in light of all that.
If it were about politics Hadi might have taken 4th or lower, if he was allowed to show up at all.
After his spectacle, I hope he isn't invited next year. 🤷♂️
