A Trauma Kit, as opposed to a First Aid Kit, is meant to stop major bleeds and blood loss until you or the person you're helping can get professional medical help.

To me a paramedic that stuff is that stuff has great value and pays for itself

Not being a paramedic or professional, I'd be happy to never use any of it. Just like homeowner's insurance, I have it just in case, but I'd be happy if nothing bad happens.
