27, here representing Gen Z I guess lmao. I stayed at home with my parents until 24 in CA, then I moved to NC and bought my first home in 2022 at 3.25% interest rate by myself. Now I'm looking to buy my second home in 2025/2026 & turn my current home into a rental. I feel as I have an advantage because my parents are baby boomers, my dad was 40 before I had a 2nd birthday so my parents were very financially stable & very experienced in life when I was growing up.
@11:00 No, sir. Millennials were alive during GFC, but hardly any Millennials were affected by it. That's why they have "backbone." Because they have never been wrecked by recession as a working prime aged adult. The reason why the late 30's and early 40's Millennials have a different perspective is because they are actually Gen X. They literally shaved back the birth years decades after the fact to artificially make the Gen X cohort (and all subsequent generational cohorts) smaller. It was for a long time that Gen X birth years were 1965-1984. Recently its 1965-1980, a full four years less. This was done primarily to limit the political influence/clout of every generation post Boomers, so that none could stand against them. And here we are with the median aged Boomer hitting 70, and both presidential candidates are Boomers when we should be looking at getting our second or third Gen X-er in the White House by now. The rest of what he said is babbling nonsense. No generation in history had it as good as Millennials did at the beginning of their prime working years (median aged member hits 25yo, 2013-2014) and for the next ten years after. That's the only reason why they have done well. Millennials did not work hard for what they got. It was gifted to them.
