After listening to this guy I feel like I am good as a low elo player, no worries about the rank or RR, having friends who actually play the game for fun not for fame. thanks mate for making this video.
I was excited to play the game everyday between gold-diamond. Hitting immortal made me realize there was nothing really worth playing for, as 1. people didn't have fun with the game anymore, 2. a lot of them were shithead egoists, and 3. no one talks besides when they want to insult you (this is my experience in the last 10 games I played this eps), and if you try communicating you need to "stfu stop sweating" despite being in the top 1% of the game lol. I quit the game for a whole year (2023) after reaching my desired rank and I came back to an even more competitive and toxic game. I hop on my silver-plat alts now because people tend to enjoy the game more in those elos and I find a lot more friends (I don't carry or throw those games, I usually lock in sage, heal people and just blend in with the team unless enemy team says they are smurfing in chat). The only reason I could see myself pushing for radiant now is so that I could join a team of great like-minded people who are hopefully fun for tournaments. If not, I might just drop the game and never pick it up again unless a friend wants to play (which no one I know does)
@@redforest3740 i was able to hit immortal 3 during ep 3, and what i learned is that by hitting that rank, you didnt really play for fun anymore. and i wondered to myself if i should even continue playing, because i already got what i wanted. i lost passion in the game, as at that level you werent even playing for fun anymore, so i quit during ep 3. its now ep 8, and i have picked up the game for the first time w my friends and my account has rank decayed down to silver. i many not be nearly as good as I was, and since everyone uses val tracker i get called washed an endless amount of times. but ive never had so much fun in a while. I dont have to smurf to play with my friends, or really even care so much about my rank, im just playing valorant because its fun, not because i want to hit a certain rank. i understand theres so many people who strive to hit that rank of immortal, but i guarantee you wont be as happy as you might think.
@@redforest3740 honestly bro I started the game for my friends only and I play the game for those people. People tend to make everything competitive like what you gonna get after hitting immortal will you actually become immortal in reality no man its just a game and the sole purpose of this thing is entertainment to make you feel good instead of frustrated
@@Ar_Meraj Sometimes the competitiveness is the fun part, like for me I don't have any friends who play valorant and as I don't like the community I just play by myself. It was a fun challenge watching myself improve and change as I played more. But after a certain point it just becomes worthless lol. We all play for different reasons, it's just when that disappears that the game suddenly becomes dull.
@@redforest3740 yup totally agreed. So what server do you play in ??
Well said man. It's about the journey, not the destination 💯
shutup
Yeah your advice is spot on. I've climbed the ranks over the past year thinking I'd just be happier every time I ranked up but truthfully I have much more FUN playing casually
It's the same thing with overwatch 2 man. I love the game but I just can't handle the incompetence or toxicity of my team mates and I'm trying to hard to rank up and get to the rank I belong in.
Overwatch has alot of similarities with VAL since there are different agents with roles. I feel like games where people are on carry/support/variety roles naturally breed alot of toxicity
I relate so much, switched to warframe a few months ago, haven't been able to go back to the valo days
@@agastyabhargava8805 agreed man, at least ur effort is well awarded there
This guy said it literally perfectly. For me the only thing keeping me going is that I love getting into ranked games with pros and building connections with the people consistently in radiant.
i agree with the last tip, im also trying to hit radiant, and rn im down 300 rr right now but i keep cuing cuz i have fun with the game, like spending 7 hours grinding doesn't feel like a wasted day lol
Thats the best way to play! :D keep it up
Bro that sounds unhealthy af ngl on sum addict shit
Your last tip after all that was genuinely so good thank you for your perspective 🤙🏼🖤🖤
Glad I could help! Remember to have fun :D
Just wanted to say good video bro, I can’t stand the high ranked players who have such big egos over a game. You recognise games are for fun and yet improving is also fun, you’re chill about it. Gonna check out your other videos now, btw usually I never type stuff like this.
As someone kind of new to Valorant who just recently retired from CS because i saw nothing to grind up to, i hit global in 2016, hit 4000elo on faceit in 2020, played professional combat surf and then went onto the military for just to come back to CS2, which was quite a dissapointment. So i started playing Valorant and now struggle in the Gold elo for because of either 1-2 bad teamates, toxicity, moral and cheating. I have a hard time keeping a good motivation up because in CS you can solo your way up the ranks quite easily with alot of different strategies and aim. A Valorant match up changes completly if one agent knows what he is doing and our don't. Aim can only take you so far, in the end if you know what your doing, you'll win. I have learned a bunch of different agents on tons of maps. But point still stands, my skill is no good if the enemy counters my agent and my teamate doesn't know how to play his.
Same, used to play csgo a lot though not at a high level but spent about 3k hours on it messing around in ranked. With cs2 now I had to switch to Valorant, I've been playing for like 2 months and I hit plat, even though I feel held back by my teammates often, I'm having fun and I think I have a decent understanding of the game now.
i used to be a cs player too, if i can give you one advice from somoene who went from silver to asc 1 in two act is to main 2 agents, one dualist and one whichever play style fits you, but most importantly dont trust your team on anything, i just do my thing and say info and leave the rest up to faith, made the grind much more bearable
I'm sure you had bad teammates in cs as well. Climbing the ranks is not about having good teammates, bad teammates exist in all ranks. Rather, it is about overcoming bad teamates
Literally replace "valorant" with "overwatch" and it's basically the exact same experience for me as well.
I agree, as a former radiant. The game doesn't hit the same once you reach your desired goal. And I totally agree that the tolerance for bullshit dwindles significantly, and "why am I playing" or "why am i here" is def something I think often.
I remember when i coded like crazy (it's as a hobby) to finally finish my first real project, and instead of being happy of reaching my goal, i felt kind of sad and i was looking for bugs to have something to do
im silver 3 and have been stuck in silver for about 2 years now, and sometimes it gets frustrating knowing you're teammates arent as good as you because from my experience ive always had teammates that dont know where the enemy is, dont use util, rush out with zero info, dont let the initiators do theyre job, half my games have AFK's, sometimes we just have a duelist comp, and ETC, i could keep going but those are just a few. i try my best every game, but in the end i basically never win, it gets tiring and sometimes all you want to do is win you cant have fun, even if it is a video game meant for fun.
im just venting but please enjoy your day whoever reads this
the joy of an adventure is the journey, not the destination
These experiences started in silver. I stopped playing ranked and just stack with family and friends in unrated now. The game is way more fun, especially for 5 stacks because the enemy is probably also a 5 stack and the game feels less random.
Thx for your advice!!! I love your content! Keep it up man!
That's exactly why I love you content! This vid sums up everything!
:DDD thanks for watching!
When 100hp hits radient hes gonna have to educate people the power of never giving up and never backing down.
As a player who started from iron 1 and first pc game my goal was immortal. I hit that and now i'm immortal 3. Next i'm going for radiant , if I hit radiant next I want to compete in challengers , so on and so on .
big ambitions! I like it, good luck!
@@FLOWSHIZZLE go big or go home 🫡🤞🏽
How many hours?
@@languages_and_games1641 700hrs in comp 1200 in total game time
for me its the same. before valorant i only played mario and now im ascendant 3. i havent reached immo yet tho
the problem with any multiplayer game is the other players and the fact that you often NEED to rely on each other
It almost feeling like im a retired veteran when you reach the highest rank.
What you mention here is present in every rank other than the coms part and the playing as team. all the negative is in every rank. even in unrated people give up after 4 rounds lost
Played a lot of ranked in the last year or two (and saw myself jump from stuck in low bronze to being high gold. But then I just kinda burned out on it, because ranking up doesn't always feel achievable even when you practice. You'll get a few good games maybe, and then suddenly lose 8 games in a row. I'm pretty hard to tilt lol, not the sort to flame teammates even if I see them mess something up. But trying to climb just started to feel like a negative experience. Possibly because of the way the game balances each match? Like if you have a really good game or two, the game decides you're strong enough to go against far better players and you get stomped and lose all the rr you gained. It wants to keep you at about a 50/50 win rate, based on a hidden MMR rather than your visible rank. And it makes progression feel tough. (And hey maybe I'm just not good enough to continue to rank lol, idk, but I feel like I should be ranking up with an above 50 win rate and instead it's a struggle just to stay in my rank).
Low key this happens when you leave silver like everything he listed I feel besides feeling unmotivated
After I hit my immortal goal, the game lost all of its magic. I've already got the red buddy, and I'll never be good enough to hit radiant, so the game just turns into a mindless XP grind to complete the battles pass. Toxic ranked teammates make the game miserable and their attitude starts to corrupt my mindset too. I miss being a gold player who could find fun in just playing the game and getting better with my friends.
this is the video that 50+% of the playbase needs 💀its crazy how many people judge you for playing "off meta" character and insta locking although thats just how I really how I want to play the game. Its not understandable for me how so many people play the game while clearly not having fun.
580rr peak never reached radiant im depressed and completely lost motivation to grind
as an ex rad from oce, where the community is tiny (sydney servers) I was constantly criticised for not maintaining my rank or grinding ranked despite hitting my overall goal of enjoying myself and having hit my goal. now I just have an alt account sitting in low imm1 and use to voice changer so people dont recognise me, I just wanna play the game in peace (gone off track)
Any tips to reach radiant if i am only gold 3?
what do you think is holding you back? you can aim your way to diamond, Idk i wasnt really in the lower ranks for much of my time playing but pro tip play with one person consistently, try aim for a plat-dia player and they can teach you more about the game and how to play then me since they're in your elo
@@ionfaimosiu5072
Bro who’s recognizing no u
@@uuproverlord8324 90% of imm/rad in ep7 sydney servers
I guess these reasons are why all Radiant players have alt accounts and smurf on us in the potato ranks LOL
Thx. Interessting to hear
I blame for turning me into a toxic person 😂,i stop playing for a whole year
After i hit rad (episode 7 act 2 with 300 ish games played) i stopped playing cus i had nothing to go for. The act after i hit it i have 11 games played. I still like the game but its stale for me now.
thats actually true. when you were noob you have most fun
I think if u hit radiant, its a sign to touch grass
Valorant. Same as Overwatch same as League of Legends same as your job. Any team-based activity is inherently at the mercy of your teammates. There's 4 of them and only 1 of you, and each one of them is a coin flip on if they want to ruin your day. Except, unlike your job that you worked at before coming home, you aren't getting paid and you can't talk to a supervisor to solve the issue.
Honestly, you should just try to go pro. If you're going to play with them anyways, you may as well be 5stacking. Reduces toxicity, increases teamwork, stronger mental, it's much closer to the Valorant you actually WANT to play.
Going pro is def a concept that I've thought of, but ended up deciding NOT to do! I'll make a video on why I didn't and why most people wouldnt want to as well maybe :O
I'm still in Silver so the kind of toxicity I come across is different to Radiant from what I can tell from FLOW's video here. However, I'd like to point out that you have your own voice which is very powerful in influencing the temporary mini-culture of you and those 4 others. You're right, it's a coin flip, but I've noticed that if I don't say anything, and someone else says something toxic, that sets the tone for the whole game. So I always make a point of saying something positive before any potentially toxic person does. In like 90% of games this sets a positive tone for the lobby that lasts the rest of the game. (Sometimes toxic people are just recalcitrantly toxic, and then I just mute them ofc.)
So I've learned that actually, we'are not always at the mercy of our teammates. Each of us can take responsibility for our own influence on the vibe of our lobby, it doesn't always make a difference, but usually it does in my experience :)
But if I want to be a professional? In that case I have to reach the radiant and I'm stuck on ascendant and I can't get radiant IDK why, I'm so hardstuck
As a hard stuck plat 1 it kinda related 💀💀💀
Lol Sora is a Jett player he was playing for qlash
GReat advice :)
Its terrible how weak some egos are in competitive games, when i whiff i just laugh it off. I won't apologize for a mistake that anyone could have made but i also wouldn''t make a big deal out of it and talk shit back. Some players are definitely good to mute. if you notice how they don't really provide anything for the team and are negative.
All there is to do now is hit rank #1 radiant, and if you get that goal you can go pro. If you reach that goal, then..
*Win VCT with match MVP in every single match you played*
why everytime i wanna try buff out it says the Site Cant Be Reached, why?
new goal go pro
im in ascendant 2 all the time i just wanna get immo (its a skill issue)
gone from iron to diamond so far. will only play this game when im genuinly enjoying it
what you said is true... I got iron 3 as my first rank(never played fps games) reached immortal in few months that was my main aim ( never tried for radiant cause i know i aint that good XD)... after reaching immortal i just felt empty.. and left the game
try getting top 1
that can be your new goal
That's how it felt to hit faceit level 10. You get to sit through an absolute sweat fest :L
yk i would be worried about this if my silver gameplay would let me
my controller goat
all of this being said applies to immortal 2+, it’s only a few thousand more players and they have even more ego because they think they are the shit 😂
haha i can definitely see that
womp womp
im a one trick breach and im gold but id kif hes good on some maps
hit #1 radiant should be my goal
Good luck!!
People who blame others instead of themselves are the reason they dont win rounds
I'm at top 5000 immortal in my region
and let me tell ya, hitting immortal made me stop having fun.
its way less fun being hard stuck in iron with a bunch of trolls and smurfs
Tbh, as a woman the negative percentage feels higher. Hahha.
How do you improve quick? I wanna get radiant one day but am stuck in diamond.
you dont improve quick you improve over time
heres the thing
you dont
@5:33 Saying nothing is the same as saying something bad lmao. Instead you could say something like, "damn, i whiffed like that last game" or something along those lines to help the mental of your teammate. I know you shouldn't have to, but like you said, one whiff can easily turn into a throw if not handled correctly
Saying something bad is way worse than saying nothing. Saying nothing could mean that no one saw it, and they could brush it off. Anyways he muted right after that so it doesn't really apply anyways. Chances are there aren't any words that I could've said that would've made him change his mind within the game
u played this game for fun?
They should implement an option where once you hit radiant you can que into comp with people who are in plat or diamond. Both teams get 1 radiant player. That way there would be some fun for both plus players get to learn from the radiant one
So unrated?
Technically exists, but only in 5 stacks
That would be nearly impossible to do because the queue for that would be absolutely insane.
cuando salga de platino te cuento si me paso lo mismo :v
Lost passion in the game, fully exhausted by the rank mm system, tried enjoying it but is the player’s gameplay that makes me question myself ”are they suppose to be in my elo. “Uninstalled”
what is your resolution in 1:39
It was 1280x1024 for a while!
just get top1 as a goal or like top smthing
Adding another goal is just a temporary thing. If I hit it' I'm sure I'll feel the same now
Yo idk if anyone else sees this but like to me it looks like his mouth is moving wrong, like the words he says doesn't match his mouth movement
Your voice is ahead of the video, making it look very weird
Do you have a timestamp? I don't see it
im immo 1 rn, with immo2 peak. i play with many immo3/rad peaks. I would say myself that 25%games have good ending. 5% have extremely good (team caught the vibe), 5% you win but there was a guy who just muted all of u because of round 3 (xD). 30% are neutral and the rest 35% are just negative. The one who would just mute all of ya decided to piss some1 else off and now they are arguing lowering the whole teams mental. Sucks to suck.
Also i'm a support player. I rarely play duelist when no1 else picks them (1/30 games id say). The amount of times i was yelled at for being bottom frag, because i had to entry for my duelist is unbelievable. Also there are times when i play support and i topfrag, which means my team is not playing well.
my goal is gold
sounds to me like you aren't muting the right people
the fragile mental of the average valorant player needs to be studied.
Aware
I am really sad for u
What I got from my immortal 2 grind after missing 2 episodes ( I got immo2 in like a month (my peak rank before was just hitting immo1 in like episode 4) got placed in gold 3 in the last days of the act 2), what I realized in the end we just need to be better humans and not better valo players, Frankfurt player here so I had to go to hell and back with teammates I'm not toxic or anything but I think I played with some retarded people and people with every other mental issues. Cause a healthy person would not do anything this THINGS did. It ranged from trolling to being toxic to turning off comms and bragging that he hit immo 1 without comms, that was his peek rank btw. Meanwhile my duo and I comm and play to improve so I think radiant could be possible in the long run we got immo2 in 30 days with an insane win rate we played like 200 games and we won 130 of them just this act. And we are playing better now after getting back into the game so immo3 is possible this act too we are at 160 rr right now maybe we could hit it today. Kinda got sidetracked there and vented but yeah if we only got good people that are not toxic and just comm everyone would have a better game experience. Like bad games happen even pros have them, but there will always be that dude that is top fragging for the first time in his life and now he can flame the bottom fragger cause its not him.
try to go pro then. set a new goal.
shoot higher
As in Pro? There's a whole nother reason why going pro isn't what I want though :o
@@FLOWSHIZZLE no not as in pro, as in being the absolute most greatest player that no once can touch

I’ve never met such beta humans before valorant 😂 I grew up on Rust and GarrysMod these people don’t know toxic

wow man your so right i hit radiant and this happened :c but i knew something was wrong thanks for the perspective ima just relax more and keep doing my thing
I love it
Thats a realy good video to watch, i was mad at myself bc i didnt get ascendent this season although i went from gold to diamond 3 in two months, even if i wasnt happy i rushed to try to get ascendent in the last two days.. i will eventually get to ascendent in the next act and should have enjoyed more the games that i played.. great video!
Yes 100%! Getting there is already a good achievement you're on a good track keep it up, no need to stress out!
meanwhile in silver: gets smurfs every game
Skill issue.
Hehe I was top frag with 17 kills, but top frag in enemy team got 35 kills 😊 whenever we kill iso, we are good lol Im in bronze and yeah, smurf is annoying, I think he is carrying someone, or some ppl
Oh and I soloque
@@sunny10dj yes that's the whole point of smurfing issue
GET BETTER
Haha smurfing is definitely one of the things that you DON'T have to face in radiant, unless you go against s0m, demon1, or tenz LOL
If there are people being sad in radiant, imagine me who is sad in bronze (skill issue)
Amazing video btw, hope u having the best times in game
thats why i switched to cs! couldnt take the val environment anymore. so many toxic kids with shit mentals. at least when I have a bad game or horrible human beings as teammates, I can go look at some cool skin investments or go surf/kz. I'll always love valorant, but now I just watch the pro scene and platchat lol
Def a vibe, the highs with Valorant are great it's the lows that make the game hard to play at times
@@FLOWSHIZZLE completely agreed
its just unfortunate that the reason i play is because i am competitive so losing gets to me a lot. having bad games and losing due to poor performance makes me wanna just give up. but ofc its a love hate relationship cuz i come back.
How it is with Fortnite, I am a wager player at least was and I was playing against lots of others. It got so boring and idk just not worth it rn
Glad i quit before i wasted anymore time trying to get to a goal that wont even mean anything in the end
Ive always told people that radiant is not special. The gulf in difference between pro players and radiant is huge. Being at the best of the matchmaking rank is not that special. You're gonna run into the same old cry babies, toxics and teammates who have egos and dont communicate. When you play in an environment with pro players then it's different. People comm and it's a much more competitive environment
im subbing and liking because ur an asian brother
i hit ssl in rl once you get that rank u dream of it becomes stale the only thing you can work towards is leaderboards or pro league and then you realize you arent that close at all because they are are pros for a reason which is demotivating and just bland
45k people including me have no reason to watc this cus we're never hitting radiant
bro crouchs every fight he gets into
Than why dont u try to acheive an beome esports player after u reached radiant
why did u oil up before making this video?
