- The orangutan baby Clarita has been through an ordeal, after being snatched by a male orangutan from her mother Clara. The caretakers make an attempt to reunite mother and daughter.

Can we talk about how maternal the caregiver is with Clarita. She clearly loves her job and has empathy for this animals.
good boy! excited for the human caregiver. The emotion comes from the union between mother and child.
Shame is keeping these animals in cages and taking the puppies away and giving them back to their mothers as if nature couldn't do the job it's been doing for millions of years! The man really sucks.
Feels bad that they are stuck in a small metal cage though they dont have space to roam around like wild orangutans its like a jail with cold metal bars.
Caretakers across the world is giving up their own life to save the animals.
Its beyond admiration tbh.
If I had a million id send their kids through university..

Momma giving her baby daughter gentle kisses through the cage bars was so heartwarming. Last she saw her child, a male had stolen her away.

I came here to say exactly the same thing. And the self control she showed up until the precise moment was incredible because clearly she knew how to unlock the gate all along. They are so incredibly intelligent!

I particularly love orangutans; they have such beautiful soulful eyes. So glad this little one was reunited with her mom 🥲
You can tell that the staff have been doing an amazing job raising Clara because it shows in Clara’s compassion and love for her daughter… she is passing on the compassion and love she was given.

@@theother1406 that’s a really stupid comment: none of the crap is even close to the cage because it’s raised up, everything falls through, so they are not in any way, sitting in their own crap. The only thing at the bottom of the cage is leaves, which is appropriate.

Awe I’m so delighted that mom and baby where able to be reunited. Also the poor baby hurt his hand and he didn’t want to be poked either. Thank you all for the very important work you all do for the orangutan species. I love them so much!

What beautiful creatures they are
I'm so glad that the precious baby was successfully returned to her mama, who wanted her so much and was so tender while cuddling her! Also loved seeing the other baby orangs in care, being served their watermelon snacks before bedtime. Thanks for tending so devotedly to this important salvation!

Nature is not necessarily wonderful at alll. It was nature that had the baby taken from the mother by a male orangutan.

This video is exactly what I needed, they are just like humans Clara was holding her baby just like a human mom would with her baby 🍼 beautiful to witness, such kind and caring animals, all great apes are fascinating!
The reason they are so much like humans is because they are biologically classified as primates just like we are. 200+ species of monkeys and all apes share 90%-98% of the same DNA as ours. That's what makes them so similar to us and also makes them the most detrimental animal to steal from their birth mothers. Anyone caught with a baby primate and doesn't give them to a reputable rescue organization needs to be prosecuted (fines and jail time)!

It was a male Orangutan
Ìt was a male orangutan. Unfortunately this happens sometimes in the primate world. I've seen it with chimps and gorillas. I don't believe it's malicious. I believe the big males truly love the babies , they just can't feed them and then they die. It's very sad when it happens tho
Male primates will also kidnap babies in order to gain reproductive access to the mom. If he love the baby he wouldn't have given her up or let the people take her. Male primates are bigger, faster, and much harder to handle than the females.
I spent a good deal of time with my children as a father from bottle feeding to changing diapers, coaching, camping, home work you name it. But there is something special about children and their great moms and she proved no different.

It's a business. Lots of exotic animals end up as "pets". Some idiots tried have chimpanzees as pets with devastating consequences.

Those were some tense moments for the caregivers reuniting Clarita with her mom. The relief and happiness must have been fantastic. So sweet. The little one who examined the injection site was so cute....hey! owie! And I'm sure Rona was told how lovely she was with her watermelon hairdo. 😅 They are so much like us ❤

These are the most amazing babies I've seen. They are the sweetest species and I think the best personalities. They are cute as can be and they often have bad hair days. Thank God they act so much better than those mouthy, tantrum throwing Macaque monkeys. These guys act so much better & in my opinion they are high class wild animals. They are very smart and tend to act like little comedians! I love watching them because you will never have a day of being bored!
