One of the best songs i've heard in many a year..... Mandolin....violin....killer guitar and vocals...and its almost 8 minutes inlength without ever being boring. BRILLIANT
Just wondering, did you come across this as a Bonamassa fan? Or just happened on it? I thought your comment about not being boring was funny. I know this comment was quite a few years ago but in case you haven't checked out Joe Bonamassa since then you should. He has not made a bad or boring song yet LOL
Glad to see BBC coming back.... This band is soo refreshing and loaded with great music, this one for example. These guys are the best you'll see. They have sooo many songs on all their albums to put on a great concert on in the USA... I'm 70 years old and have been everywhere listening and watching music and this song could be a score to a motion picture... God Bless you boys... Keep it coming
The Hard Rock SuperGroup of the 21st Century. I have been a fan of Glenn Hughes since the early 70's when I was rockin' to "TRAPEZE" & now I am still listening to the "Voice of Rock" with his best band since the "Deep Purple Mark III." Days. Great Band & album..
Mother, father, thank you so For keeping the fires burning home Brother, brother, for giving shelter Throughout those years of war Oh now that it's nearly over After a long night in wait I'd soothe every soul With the last comfort, but mine I believe in love and you need to know That my heart's in your embrace Now I'm leaving well but I bid farewell One last song for my resting place I grew up on a family farm Where the wheat grows like gold I played his music, he forgave my sins As foretold in the books of old Oh now that it's nearly over After a long night in wait I'd soothe every soul With the last comfort, but mine I believe in love and you need to know That my heart's in your embrace Now I'm leaving well but I bid farewell One last song for my resting place Dear Maria, enjoy your life You've always known that I'm by your side These are fortunes worse than war Beyond my reach and I have no more My father said upon his death Son, don't shed a tear for me Mrs. Robinson my only life Nearer to God than to thee Oh now that it's nearly over After a long night in wait I'd soothe every soul With the last comfort, but mine I believe in love and you need to know That my heart's in your embrace Now I'm leaving well but I bid farewell One last song for my resting place My father said on his deathbed Son, don't shed those tears for me Mrs. Robinson oh you are my love Nearer to God than to thee Oh Maria, I loved you so The heart grows fonder as I go Please think of me as I sleep From beyond the ship into the deep
After the Titanic hit an iceberg and began to sink, Hartley and his fellow band members started playing music to help keep the passengers calm as the crew loaded the lifeboats. Many of the survivors said that Hartley and the band continued to play until the very end. One second-class passenger said: Many brave things were done that night, but none were more brave than those done by men playing minute after minute as the ship settled quietly lower and lower in the sea. The music they played served alike as their own immortal requiem and their right to be recalled on the scrolls of undying fame.
....does Joe Bonamassa sleep? Dude puts out music like the sky puts out stars! And most of it SIZZLES! Keepin' the flame burnin' bright-BCC is proof that guitars are not extinct!
Toooo damned PERFECT to believe !!!! My two greatest musos playing together. Simply heaven. Glenn and Joe. There'll never be two musicians that play so fantastic together in my opinion.
A brilliantly conceived and elegant tribute to Wallace Henry Hartley and the other members of 'Titanic''s orchestra , for many years now, long time legends of the sea. BCC has certainly captured the essence and emotion of their sacrifice in this piece.
"Please think of me as I sleep From beyond the ship into the deep" My Soul has always been with Titanic and this song brought me back to Her.. My heart aches and I can't stop crying. 💔🙏
It's very impressive Song! This Song perfectly combines emotion, drama, human courage and excellent performance of Black Country Communion musicians. Bonamassa's voice is powerful, emotional and so dramatic at the same time. The greatest song for me forever!
Absolutely beautiful song,we all know what a guitarist Joe is but wow he can sing.Glenn is regarded by many as the best singer ever,Stevie wonders favourite but Joe holds his own, simply breath taking.
You write a lot about Joe Bonamassa here. True, he is a brilliant musician, but each of the others is perfect. Looking at the cut of a diamond, we admire its color and subtle beauty, but the gem does not consist of just one wall. We are all unimaginably fortunate to live at the moment of creating such brilliant music. Without a doubt, this is one of the most interesting songs of the group.
Wow. Great song. Great music, great vocals. Love. Love the words. But your voice Joe just is excellent. I have watched you evolve. And you just keep on keeping on..better and better.
God how good album this is.. so damn happy you guys got back together and made more music... have tried very hard but still haven't found a bad tune on the new album after like 50 listenings.. working on it still ;) Loving this :)))
Fucking Brilliant ! The World Class Musicians of Black Country Communion NEVER disappointing !! Always sweet music to this old rockers ears !!✌from Utah.
Didn't know there was an official video! Amazing song. Amazing album. Amazing band. So glad they did a 4th album. I think BCC2 is their best, but this is right up there.
Givanildo Pereira -I would say they are all fucking brilliant here. Derek is playing some amazing progressions creating the light sweet bitterness. Jason is literally standing all of these guys up. And, of course Glenn is providing harmonic foundations for both Derek and Joe while creating the bridge to Jason's rhythms. So few can achieve this balance...
Why is it that the greatest music is never played on the radio
This song needs only one word.. Masterpiece.
👌🏻
True
A newborn classic completely overlooked by mainstream media.
One of the best songs i've heard in many a year.....
Mandolin....violin....killer guitar and vocals...and its almost 8 minutes inlength without ever being boring. BRILLIANT
agree

@@pamelacairns289 When I heard Joe within BCC context accidentally listening to this song, I was pleasantly surprised and blown away at the same time.
That solo tone and the scales Joe chooses to play in, reminds me of Mr Blackmore.

BCC correction, thinking of the UK
It kind of IS a soundtrack! it's about the violinist on The Titanic I believe. Wallace Hartley. :-)
Black Bounty Communion. xD
I love this song. Wish I knew how to set it as my ringtone from you tube.
It is ...one of the best songs ever!
Sublime in every sense of the word JB has a fair set of pipes on him as well as his renowned guitar skills.🎸🤟
Bonamassa's best singing performance!!
Yes I agree. He has voice made for this type of music....I really enjoyed it.
I really like Joe’s voice but he’s spectacular on this song. Gives me chills!
Another best singing performance
Bonamassa is the best guitarists out there! This might be his best vocals ! Great guy !

best song in rock i heard since beginning of 21 century
Mother, father, thank you so
For keeping the fires burning home
Brother, brother, for giving shelter
Throughout those years of war
Oh now that it's nearly over
After a long night in wait
I'd soothe every soul
With the last comfort, but mine
I believe in love and you need to know
That my heart's in your embrace
Now I'm leaving well but I bid farewell
One last song for my resting place
I grew up on a family farm
Where the wheat grows like gold
I played his music, he forgave my sins
As foretold in the books of old
Oh now that it's nearly over
After a long night in wait
I'd soothe every soul
With the last comfort, but mine
I believe in love and you need to know
That my heart's in your embrace
Now I'm leaving well but I bid farewell
One last song for my resting place
Dear Maria, enjoy your life
You've always known that
I'm by your side
These are fortunes worse than war
Beyond my reach and I have no more
My father said upon his death
Son, don't shed a tear for me
Mrs. Robinson my only life
Nearer to God than to thee
Oh now that it's nearly over
After a long night in wait
I'd soothe every soul
With the last comfort, but mine
I believe in love and you need to know
That my heart's in your embrace
Now I'm leaving well but I bid farewell
One last song for my resting place
My father said on his deathbed
Son, don't shed those tears for me
Mrs. Robinson oh you are my love
Nearer to God than to thee
Oh Maria, I loved you so
The heart grows fonder as I go
Please think of me as I sleep
From beyond the ship into the deep
bellissima
Thank you so much for posting these lyrics!
LOVE this song it's Rocking!!!
Thank you so much for sharing the lyrics. Have a Blessed day.
Thank you for the lyrics. Touched deeply!
JB solo is KILLER !!
And on a Fender Strat too... :)
I have no words that are worthy. I'm hushed by this, tears rolling.
This is the best song of 2017. 4 legends where the sum is greater than the parts. Incredible.

Don't know how I have missed this and one hell of a song so powerful in so many ways.
Completely overlooked by the media. The fact that they are basicly a non touringband also does not help.
These guys just popped up in my Spotify queue after listening to the Rival Sons and boy am I happy about it!
Same here while listening to Robin Trower....Rivals Sons are great too!
....does Joe Bonamassa sleep? Dude puts out music like the sky puts out stars! And most of it SIZZLES! Keepin' the flame burnin' bright-BCC is proof that guitars are not extinct!
100% pure music..so much feeling and emotion..
Song by the band for those who love blues, Zeppelin, and Purple - for me, that is.
Toooo damned PERFECT to believe !!!! My two greatest musos playing together. Simply heaven. Glenn and Joe. There'll never be two musicians that play so fantastic together in my opinion.
BLACK COUNTRY COMMUNION-HAVE NOT HEARD THIS TILL 21ST PLEASE DONT STOP !
A brilliantly conceived and elegant tribute to Wallace Henry Hartley and the other members of 'Titanic''s orchestra , for many years now, long time legends of the sea. BCC has certainly captured the essence and emotion of their sacrifice in this piece.
This is what you call a song. Masterpiece,,
I keep coming back to this song every couple of weeks. This is such a well done piece.
"Please think of me as I sleep
From beyond the ship into the deep"
My Soul has always been with Titanic and this song brought me back to Her.. My heart aches and I can't stop crying. 💔🙏
Best song of the past 30 years......Great job by the whole band especially Joe with the great vocals and guitar work.
It's very impressive Song! This Song perfectly combines emotion, drama, human courage and excellent performance of Black Country Communion musicians. Bonamassa's voice is powerful, emotional and so dramatic at the same time. The greatest song for me forever!
The strongest song on BCCIV and one of the best by this band.
Jesus....JB.....I give my soul for that kind of music...Thx
Words can’t do it justice just about as good as it gets sheer excellence
That solo.....whew! Hope the volunteer fire department got there in time. Nicely done fellas.
Dirty as hell solo. So good in this age of manufactured music.

Absolutely beautiful song,we all know what a guitarist Joe is but wow he can sing.Glenn is regarded by many as the best singer ever,Stevie wonders favourite but Joe holds his own, simply breath taking.
Yeah, Stevie Wonder even asked if he was really white. That's awesome
Amazing tribute to the band members who played for the passengers of the Titanic until it sank in 1912.
Really? 10 people dislike this?? Go buy a new pair of ears.
40 more in the last 2 years, since your first reaction.
second time a new set in 2020
I am guessing nobody knows this song is about Wallace Henry Hartley-the violin player that went down on the Titanic ..

Not my type of music, but I'm loving this!
Not sure if this would have been Wallace Hartley's music either, but I bet he would approve.
If you're loving this then it's your type of music
Oh my, this is SO good.
God how good album this is.. so damn happy you guys got back together and made more music... have tried very hard but still haven't found a bad tune on the new album after like 50 listenings.. working on it still ;) Loving this :)))
