It was western officials and the media making the claim, and I think the reason is that they believed that the Russians were going to go all out, but it turned out that they chose not to, using only 20% of their capability and showing restraint, in not targeting critical infrastructures, striking only military targets, hence why it was called a special military operation, because we have to remember that Ukrainians are also Christian orthodox eastern slavs, who share a lot of history and tradition together, they come from the same ancient lands. The idea of the Russians going in was to show that they were serious and to get the Ukrainians to the negotiating table and try and resolve the issue, which has been ongoing since 2014, it didn't begin in 2022, and they succeeded in doing so, they were close to a deal until that piece of sh*t Johnson flew to Kyiv and told them to keep fighting, well, look at what that has cost them, thousands and thousands of more deaths and casualties, and even more territory, it was a very stupid decision from the Ukrainians to agree with it, not realising that they are just being used, used as a tool against Russia.

If that were the case, why did the Russians only use 20% of their capability? And why didn't they knock out all the critical infrastructures? It was western officials and the media making the claim, and I think the reason is that they believed that the Russians were going to go all out, but it turned out that they chose not to, using only 20% of their capability and showing restraint, in not targeting critical infrastructures, striking only military targets, hence why it was called a special military operation, because we have to remember that Ukrainians are also Christian orthodox eastern slavs, who share a lot of history and tradition together, they come from the same ancient lands.
The idea of the Russians going in was to show that they were serious and to get the Ukrainians to the negotiating table and try and resolve the issue, which has been ongoing since 2014, it didn't begin in 2022, and they succeeded in doing so, they were close to a deal until that piece of sh*t Johnson flew to Kyiv and told them to keep fighting, well, look at what that has cost them, thousands and thousands of more deaths and casualties, and even more territory, it was a very stupid decision from the Ukrainians to agree with it, not realising that they are just being used, used as a tool against Russia.

For those of you who are not aware, putin nor any other high ranking Russian official ever say they would capture Kyiv in 3 days, I don't know why some people keep saying it. And it's obvious that it wasn't their objective, in that the number of troops they sent in, overall the Ukrainians had 700,000 or so, and the Russians 200,000, anyone with any military logic knows you need 3-4 to 1 advantage in troops if planning to conquer and subjugate a country, as the western governments and media have led us to believe, which was that it was Russia's intention to so. If that were the case, why did the Russians only use 20% of their capability? And why didn't they knock out all the critical infrastructures? Because they chose not to, it was a limited operation, which is why it was called a special military operation, it was intended to show the Ukrainians they were serious and get them to the negotiating table.
Even at this stage now, Russia is still showing some restraint, and yes, they could have flattened Kyiv in a number of days, they have the capability, IF that was their objective.
They lack not only ammunition but people as well

Ukraine would lose, you can't defeat Russia, even with US & Western support.
