The 57 Chevy is the reason I started loving cars at 5 years old! My lucky number is 57, always has been. My number on my jerseys in sports was always 57 no matter what. Just such a beautiful car.
This car is in amazing condition! In fact, it looks like it was transported by a “time machine” from a Chevrolet dealership showroom in 1957, to present day!
A beautiful vintage Chevy. Nice to see the "working clock." In the 1940's and 50's most of those analog clocks were either stuck or broken and in need of full replacement after 2 or 3 years on the road. Most owners didn't bother.
Hi R. Crompton, Happy to read you enjoy the looks of this Chevy :-) Glad to read you appreciate the working clock. Please remember to watch the commercials at the beginning of the video (or at least the ones you can), as that's how I get paid so I can keep sharing with you :-) Lou
Lou Costabile No problem, I enjoy your content! Classic American automobiles, 40s-50s, are a spectacle to be seen, and that is something great that your channel uniquely provides! :D
Hi Eagle Whitefeather01, Happy to read you enjoy the design of this car :-) Thank you for the well wishes on the weekend, and wishing you a great weekend too, Lou
At the very beginning of this video the owner's friends mentioned that there were over 20 options on this car. Yo completely ignored this and went on your merry way. The title of your program is My Car Story not Lou's My Car Agenda. From your excellent video coverage we got a view of some of these options. Obviously the Fuel injection, convertible, and continental kit were obvious options. As you panned the car we got to see that the car had power windows and brakes along with a working clock. It seems that you have a fixation on the mundane features of the featured car interior rather than emphasizing the unique options. Lou I give you props for creating this program and gaining access to the owners of these amazing cars. You have great introductions, great videos of the exteriors. Why not have a discussion with the owner of the car before you start your video and get a feel for what they like about their car and what is special. PS If I never see another pan of a trunk jack instruction it will be too soon.
Awesome! It makes perfect sense that Ken has a fuelie `vert at the ranch. Lucky us! It looks gorgeous and was definitely worth the wait. Thanks for finding all these great cars & custodians for the channel, Lou!
Wow I didn’t know about the gas tank that was awesome very unique I was amazed lol great find Lou that’s one crazy classic u can go wrong with this car still beats a car from now n days thanks Lou!
WOW Lou! I Literally Dreamed about owning one as a teenager. When I seen them on the roads back in the day they were all Hot Rodded up. All of a sudden I seen how these were becoming collectable classics on covers of all kinds of magazines. And that made me much more of a fan. Seeing one is excellent condition. Thank You for going out of your way to present this beauty.
Another dashboard-mounted item was the traffic-light viewer, a ribbed plastic visor that was installed just above the speedometer. Because the roof extends so far forward of the driver, it is hard to see overhead traffic lights. The traffic light viewer captured the reflection of overhead traffic lights so that the driver didn't have to lean forward to see past the edge of the roof. A/C was also an option.[13]
Very interesting video Lou. Love watching your channel. My dad has a red and white 55 Belair 2 door hardtop that has been in the family since 1970 and he gave me a 56 Belair hardtop 2 door that has been in the family since 1976. Bonus on no Exhaust poking out of everywhere and engine shoved on top practically decapitating the sleek motor and saying "hey look away from the modern beauty and instead at this overally chromed large V8 that weighs 1957 pounds".
