  • In this video I will show you how I fixed my Kubota L3901 that would not do a parked regen cycle. It turned out to be a bad safety switch. Thank you for watching!

Thanks. My parking light was not on and I looked underneath and my problem was not a bad safety switch. The two prongs going in the connector had pulled out. I disassembled it and clicked them back in place and reinserted and problem solved. Not exactly the same thing but without this video I never would have started checking there.

Thanks. You saved me a trip to the dealet, 1.5 hours away. My wire was broken.

I'm glad it helped you out. I didn't see any videos out there mentioning this problem, so I figured I'd make one.

Don't have to take it off to bench test. just unplug under the tractor and ohm it out. Great Video , thanks!!

Yes, but it's easier to film on a work table.

@@sarahgracebrooks2629 you can also drive it around at higher rpms. The L3901 will start doing the regen cycle if you have it at around 2,500 rpms and you are moving. You have to stay moving for the duration of the regen. Do not stop. Mine starts doing the regen when I drive about 1/8th of a mile at 2,500 rpms. I just drive around my neighborhood for two laps until the light goes away. If your tractor does not start doing a regen, after going about 1/4 mile at 2,500 rpms stop immediately and call your dealership. Don't risk damaging your tractor.

@@pbrstreetgng79 I'll try that thanks. When I start it, it has the standard 3 lights blinking calling for a PARK REGEN, THE PARK REGEN LIGHT BUTTON never STARTS blinking so I can start the parked regen. Is it ok to drive at HIGH RPM's with the lights Blinking??

I thought the park regen mode was the last ditch effort for the tractor to do a regen before it goes into limp mode?
I’ve read there’s a driving regen mode that can be done first before a park regen! Waiting too long for the drive regen will result in a park regen !

Yes, it can be considered a "last ditch" effort to do a parked regen, which is why it is so important to have this feature functional. Not every tractor operator has the half hour or the space to drive around to do the regen.

All you had to do was run it at 2500 rpm and keep driving it. I'm not saying you shouldn't fix your part if it's broken. Mt Kubota Mechanic told me on the phone to just drive it at 2500rpms. The light went off on the way home. That was after running it for 1 hour and driving 1/2 way home

As a mechanic myself, I like to fix things when they break. Gives me peace of mind.
