i love how dodger is mimicking the rich and nancy is playing along, but when it was oliver’s turn, oliver doesn’r pick up on the sarcasm and sings like he really means it
What crappy performances. Even worse than the wimp who played Oliver Twist in the film version. Too bad the 1960 West End cast that included Davy Jones, Georgia Brown, etc. isn't available. I've seen far better community theater versions.
the entire point of i’d do anything is dodger and nancy (later, oliver, bet, fagin and the other kids) mimicing upper-middle class ladies and gentlemen, i’m sure that in other songs like consider yourself or be back soon, he probably he had the trademark dodger accent. anway ‘the original dodger’ isn’t even the late jack wild (by the way, i loved him as dodger, no offense to him) it wad martin horsey, who was kinda shit if you ask me
Not sure if anyone cares but if you are bored like me atm then you can stream pretty much all the new series on instaflixxer. Been streaming with my brother lately :)
The stars of this musical called Oliver was wonderful and amazing to watch because the music and the cast I loved it because it was entertaining Thank you for a great night It was well done👍👍👍👍
Dear Heavens! I've watched the movie at least 25 times and seen it live 3, and this performance is brilliant in my books! I wish I'd gotten opportunity to see it live! Really well done!
and the song in the original , the mood is of escapism- they WANT to be in that world- not MOCKERY or satire, as it is in this one. Wild clicks his fingers and the boys form a carriage then they make believe that they are away from their troubles and pains to me thats the magic of the song- not taking the piss out of the rich.
I agree that Wild and Wallis were amazing, and always will be, but it’s lovely to see some other takes on the roles. Yeah, Shani, Jack, Ron, Mark, Oliver, Sheila, Clive, Harry, and everyone else in the 1968 film are in a different league to homemade productions, but these young actors and actresses are trying their hardest, and doing it amazingly, it’s fine to have favourites but don’t tear others down!
Shane and everything His accent was actually the best, as I see it he's putting the snobby posh one on to mock the 'toffs' and would have a more cockney sound throughout the rest of the show, although I've not seen any other clips from this production and could be completely wrong

Oliver is friggin adorable. Really well done show from a very high end theatre company.

I hate how everyone says that dodger's voice sucks, I love it, and you can actually tell what he's saying. plus he's cute.
He sounds nothing like the original dodger.
@@w.b2404 You don't have to sound like the original idiot.
@@feel.s1304 you do when that's a big part of the character

I love how he sings 'and back again'

Artful Dodger's pretty adorable XD It's a lovely production. Only the kids have american accents which is a bit odd, but it's a nice production ^_^

My fav Artful dodger by far from all of the versions of this song I've seen. I love the beginning where he sounds all snobby.
An outstanding job by all! Truly up to highly professional standards!!
And I'd do anything to see a full recording. Yes I'd do anything, yes anything for this. 👌🏻🙃
Awww this is so cute I love it when Oliver kisses her
Lola Rose 〈3 :D I’m doing Oliver to and I have bet too!!!
Great production you guys, the band is amazing, acting and colours are great. Wonderful production.
The costumes are brilliant especially Fagin also the set is amazing!
Hermosa la presentación, se nota la disciplina y la dedicación de todos los músicos y el equipo de trabajo. Felicidades y saludos desde Colombia.

MG Kelly Good luck from me too :) I've actually recently finished my schools Oliver play (I was Mr.Brownlow)
Thanks xxx
:D I’m doing it to and I’m Bet also!!
No artful dodger will outdo Jack Wild❤️
he has a way better voice
Ailish Gurney my friend played dodger and I went to see him and in my opinion he was way at the same standard of Jack Wild it was impressive
Ailish Gurney Yep ❤
And Shani Wallis is the BEST Nancy!
yes, very much agreed, Jack is the greatest Dodger there will ever be ❤
I have to say dodger sounds fancy he is supposed to have a London accent
"aaaannddd baaack agen!"
i love this
Wonderful..always loved this song
I had to come off the app just so I could post this....simply spectacular best I've seen yet
Does anyone know who the lad playing Dodger is? He’s got a good voice, I’d love to see him in other productions on here.
The one that played Dodger was Grayson Smith.
Bravo. muito bom alguém brasileiro?
Pretty good accents. Nancy slips a bit here and there, but much better than a lot of US productions I’ve heard. The vowels are pretty decent
This is the cutest version for me!!!!
Great performance of a wonderful song, thanks for posting it
Love this xx
hello my fellow 5sos fangirl. and same this is my favourite show
Is there a recording of this performance of Oliver, looking for a downloads to my music

2:48 “LADY BEP” hahahaha
Bravo!
My Auditionds are tody and i am auditioning for the artful doger! Wish me luck!
I’m 6 years late, but how did the show go!?
and the song in the original , the mood is of escapism- they WANT to be in that world- not MOCKERY or satire, as it is in this one.
Wild clicks his fingers and the boys form a carriage then they make believe that they are away from their troubles and pains to me thats the magic of the song- not taking the piss out of the rich.
I quite like this take on it.
The movie changed it this is the Broadway version
Isaac Olson the movie came before this stage version
Yes that’s very true!
This one is better.
Shani Wallis and Jack Wild are the BEST Nancy and Dodger and Ron Moody is the best Fagin...The whole cast the 1968 movie are the best!
I agree that Wild and Wallis were amazing, and always will be, but it’s lovely to see some other takes on the roles. Then sound to posh
It's because they are making fun of the rich people.
Pretty good =]
👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
what was this broad way!!!
No, it was a regional production at the 5th Avenue Theatre in Seattle
Cool vid
you are my favorite you touber
Doger is really adourable just saying🐥🐥🐱🐱🐣
I'm playing Dodger in my panto
Artful dodger is the best part to get in this show. That’s my opinion
😎
No doting
I think Nancy is Too old. And the children too young. I prefer the Version These did here in my town
❤️❤️❤️👌😍🐥🐣💸💸💸💒
Dodger is snobby
It's called acting
Ciara Coughlan he is life
I prefer the Jay Z version
he a bit to big for dodger
He sounds posh not cockney
wtf
At least our dodger doesn't sing and look like a derp
What do you mean by 'doesn't sing'
He's mocking the rich by using the overly posh accent. It's intentionally "derpy".
Artful dodgers a bit different 😂
Artful dodger is not meant to sound anything like that
Shane and everything His accent was actually the best, as I see it he's putting the snobby posh one on to mock the 'toffs' and would have a more cockney sound throughout the rest of the show, although I've not seen any other clips from this production and could be completely wrong
What do you mean??? He totally changed the character! He's incredible, and I think I like this performance the best!
that artful dodgers a little ponce
It's called acting
Poo poo 💩
Oliver Play .... is BETTER WHEN THEY DID IT FOR BECTON HIGH SCHOOL, FIGHT ME
What, fisticuffs?
