About SIREN:
“Siren” takes us inside Bristol Cove-a coastal town known for its legend of once being home to mermaids. When the arrival of a mysterious girl proves this folklore all too true, the battle between man and sea takes a very vicious turn as these predatory beings return to reclaim their right to the ocean. The series stars Alex Roe (“The 5th Wave”) as Ben, a bright marine biologist who finds himself drawn to a mysterious new girl in town, Ryn, played by Eline Powell (“Game of Thrones”), who is a strange young woman with a deep dark secret. Fola Evans-Akingbola (“An American Exorcism”) stars as Maddie, also a marine biologist who works with Ben, and is highly suspicious of Ryn. Ian Verdun (“Life’s a Drag”) stars as Xander, a deep sea fisherman on a quest to uncover the truth; and Rena Owen (“Star Wars” Episodes II and III) as Helen, the town eccentric who seems to know more about the mermaids than she lets on. Based on a story by Eric Wald and Dean White who both serve as executive produces. Emily Whitesell (“Finding Carter”) is on board as Showrunner and Executive Producer. Brad Luff, Nate Hopper and RD Robb are also attached as executive producers.

I really adore how the tails and the whole look is done here, it is very clear that the team itself aimed for a more realistic turn in how a mermaid would actually look. Using CGI to recreate the tail is honestly amazing since this gives them a chance to add a more realistic feel as compared to that of a wearable tail with a monofin. Especially since it hides where the knees bend so that is even better lol

No ryn is most definitely a mermaid. Sirens were completely different creatures
From mermaids in the original mythology, mermaids were half fish half human,
Like Ryn. While sirens were half bird half woman. And somewhat down the lines of mythology
People got these creatures confused due to some similarities like singing and

It's weird to see Ryn actually talk like a human. I didn't even think she looks the same in real life, I thought her face was kinda altered to get the unnatural symmetry to distinguish her as a mermaid. But, it looks like it's all her, no feature manipulations whatsoever. A beautiful person and a unique, perfect choice to play mermaid.

I think I’d be able to handle it! Ever since I’ve seen the show “H20: just add water,” I’ve pretended I was a mermaid in the pool. I’ve held my breath and done the mermaid swim and I’ve gotten pretty good at it! Btw, is there any open casting call for the show coming up? I would love to be part of this series, if possible.
I think they already finished filming season 2 and they said that season 3 won't happen becuase there's not enough viewers but if they do make a season 3, then you should totally do it

Rania B I’ve been looking online and nowhere have I found it to say the show is cancelled. The ratings are up a bit from last season, and so far it’s up in the air.

I think Eline Powell is one of the best actors I have seen for a long time, I didn't think I was going to like siren when I stumbled upon it but I was hooked ( no pun intended ) normally I'm into sci-fi with an alien theme but I think it was well acted because she showed us that mermaids were different in thinking to humans, the same with alien films where humans think with a human mentality rather than an alien one which we might not comprehend

We joke in our family cause of the seen where she says, "We are talking", and "I go now, bye, bye" to reporter. It was so funny! Can't wait for the next season! They had me freaking out when they played it out as a "dream sequence." Love this show! Watched from day 1. Missed the live tweet sessions, cause we DVR it, but I hope they do that again so we can tweet live with cast. Awesome cast!!! Gosh, I wanna be on an episode!!

I don't know how the girls from h2o swam with those heavy tails. I feel like cgi would be easier but the real ones help you actually feel like a mermaid.
Rania B I saw some behind the scenes clips from h20 and they actually have to measure there legs and make a tail just for them. Also the woman/men have to have strong legs and be able to hold there breath for a certain amount of time And train hours every week in the tails so they get used to it
