I will always mantain that if Carter could have kept this level of motivation and hunger for the game during all of his career, he would have ended as a Top 3 - Top 5 SG of All Time. His natural talent in his definitions, his shooting mechanics... His hand size, his flexibility and explosiveness. Awesome. Number #44 is an awesome play, that fingerroll could have been a big dunk. Great grace in that move, it looks so powerful! Thanks for this amazing compilation, so many never-seen before moves!

I’m from Toronto so I was able to watch all of those games. The one against Cleveland with the 360 i remember like it was yesterday. He made basketball what it is today in Toronto. I feel privileged to have been able to watch all those games live. It’s like being a early bulls fan with Jordan.

V.C. was an incredible player and he's still contributing to an NBA team at 42! I saw him on an ESPN show saying he wants to play next year and it's just a question of whether a team will sign him. He also said "no ring-shopping" and that he won't sign on a roster where he can't play just to try to snag a ring. His stamina and conditioning, playing at the most elite level, is beyond incredible. He should be studied. At 42, most people feel 32 and 22 in their minds. It's not that old, in normal life, but it's ancient when you're competing against the best players in the world in their 20's. Vince until 2025!! That's unlikely.

He's hands down one of the most exciting players to watch in NBA history. Combine his skills with Steph Curry in their primes and wow! That would be the most explosive, indefensible offensive player ever.

Prime Vince Carter was compared to MJ. The potential of Vince being the GOAT was real, especially if his cousin Tracy McGrady stayed in Toronto. Those two would of won multiple championships. However, once McGrady left, Carter was left as the only superstar on a team. Even MJ had Pippen for all his championship runs. McGRADY to Carter is what Pippen is to MJ. It's a shame, because Vince in my opinion, could have been the GOAT.

Shaq, Penny, T-Mac, and Vince were probably the most *gifted* NBA players of our generation (Kobe, according to himself, was a product of patience & perseverance).
You did great on those crappy quality 12sec plays from those years. I still have a lot from those early VC years (not rookie), and I know how horrible they look by today's wide screen HD and UHD standards.

Vince is another “what if” player just like d rose. What if he didnt have all those injuries, what if he made that shot against the sixers and advance to the ECF in 2001, what if he was more motivated to play and give his all during his peak. Damn what could we have witness from Half Man Half Amazing we will never know
I disagree. Players with major injuries like Rose and Tmac and Penny and Hill are in a category of their own. VC did have a brief stretch where he was injury prone, but was very healthy for his New Jersey years, which I consider his basketball prime. He definitely did not have the killer instinct of Kobe or Jordan, which is the highest standard obviously. To me it feels pointless to wonder “what if”. He is who he is: an extremely talented and exciting scorer. He could lead a team to a first round win, but never was a player to say “give me the ball, I’m taking all the shots”. That’s not his personality. The fans and media wanted him to be the best, and while he fell short of being a Kobe or Jordan, for a decade he was a top tier shooting guard in this league who at his peak was THE most entertaining player in the league, and inspired a whole generation.
@@MaxaMillion711 well put. As much talent he has/had, the killer instinct wasn't there to put him at Jordan's level. He had the talent to be the best, but you're right, at his peak he was a top 10-20 player and has had a great career, was the most exciting player and a huge inspiration. My all time favorite.
