Always a treat to see your attention to detail. Bring on the CR500AF project.
Thanks FE! I honestly don’t think I’ll be getting to that CR500AF until this time next year. I think I’m going to enter it in the 2023 Broke to Built contest. I have a garage full of projects right now and I need to get through some first. And, I still haven’t found a motor for it!
Excellent video, so thorough & professional. Thanx4sharing, thanx4caring!!
Read yr description...thanx!!
Thanks so much Kal! I’m looking forward to the next one! Thanks for watching!
Great video! I have a just finished a 1970 CT70. 2 Years ago I did at 1995 CR250. They are both on my youtube page. This bike turned out great! I really enjoyed the video.
Thats great Mr10! I’m actually restoring a 1978 CT70 right now. A lot different than the dirt bikes I’ve done, thats for sure. Thanks for the kind words and thanks for watching!
Great video it motivates me to rebuild my motor ✌🏻😎
I’ll help you with that!
Here I am wondering what mods I could do to 70....BOOM!! Awesome!!
Good job 👏🏻
Thank you! I like your channel, BTW! You rip that CR85!
Sweet build! Love the crf70 full mods, i just finished my Slowracer crf70 based bike build. Cant wait to see some more people building the 70s everyone builds the klx110s
Hey Jesse! Its funny you mention that because I am building up a KLX right now!
@@brian.d.mobley sweet! Buy all the BBR parts you can for it lol. Best pitbike company in the business and awesome people in general! Brappp
Very impressive build and everything about the video is just awesome good job I’m curious how did it run it looks like it’s going to be pretty fun bike.
Hey Troy! Im a little embarrassed to let you know that I havent started it yet! Im waiting on a few parts still and I've made the mistake of moving on to other bikes while I still have a few details left unfinished. BUT, when I do get it started, I'll post a clip or two riding at the MX track. Thanks for watching!
This was f*ckin insane to watch. Well done gentleman
Thanks!
AMAZING!
Oh man, thanks!!! It was a fun project! Many more coming too, so please come back to the channel again sometime soon! Thanks so much for the nice comment and for watching!
@@brian.d.mobley Of course love your videos Brian! I have a question I have a crf 70 with 140 piranha engine and when I tighten the back wheel it pinches the wheel so it doesn't wanna move freely. So I don't have the back wheel as tight my chain adjusters are basically what's holding my wheel in place is there anything I can do to tighten up the back wheel without it pinching the wheel to where it won't move freely
The grind hard account is mine also. I've talked to you about that piranha muffler before
@@JGeno330 My first thought is that your spacers ID is too large for the axle and is pressing directly against the bearing rather than the inner race. Its not safe to rely on the adjusters to hold your wheel, so you need to get to the root of that one.
I’m looking at doing the same thing with the suspension upgrade just curious as to how u go with the longer forks creating more leverage and possibly bending the frame at the head tube
They aren’t much (if any) longer that I can tell. These frames are not super strong, so even with the OEM suspension fitted, if you do big jumps and you’re heavy, it’s a risk. I don’t ride crazy, so for me, it’s not an issue.
I'm building a similar project. Where did you get the bracket to mount the rear master cylinder? Or did you fabricate it?
Hey Bobby. I had to make my own bracket. That suspension job required a lot of custom fabrication.
This really is a solid beautiful build. Definitely gave me some inspiration for my 99 XR/CRF 70 build I did! I cant wait for the Z content!!! Can we maybe get a teaser of the year model?
Thanks for the nice words, Kevin! And I don’t mind sharing at all! It’s a orange/gold 1973. It’s not too bad either. But it smokes so I’ll be tearing into that one soon! Thanks for watching!
@@brian.d.mobley ok cool!! I just found your post on the Z50 collector’s Facebook page. Looks clean!!!
@@KEVIN-sd8fu Awesome! Make a comment if you don’t mind so I can keep up with you! I’ve never owned a Z50, but it’s so similar to the CRF and the CT that I knew I could rebuild it. I have so many bikes in my queue that I feel like I’ll never get through them all. I even have a CR500 aluminum frame conversion project but that’s for next year !
how much power did the puranha exhaust give you?
Hey Colin. It’s really hard to say. All the mods were done at the same time.
بسیار عالی استاد

What’s a good price for a decent crf70? There’s one on my local marketplace for $1,850 and I’d like to get something like it for my daughter who’s 9
Hi Glee. I wish I could be more helpful, but I just don’t follow that market so I’m not sure. And, as with all dirt bikes, condition greatly affects value, so the prices can range greatly.
Got it for $1,500 probably paid too much considering that’s what it cost new 18 years ago but it’s in pretty good shape and starts right up also everything cost more in Alaska that’s what I’m telling myself anyway. My daughter will be happy and that’s worth more to me and I’ll have a riding buddy too so I’m happy.
@OllieRidesAk i got that same bike for my daughter at that age. She loved it and rode it for several years. Hope you get the same memories we did.
@@KG-yc6cl she loves it and had a blast all summer on it.
How much bigger is it than a stock 50
Hey! It started life as a CRF70. It’s a 108 now. Thanks for watching !!
did they discontinue the crf70f?
Hey Joey! That is a good question! Honestly, I’m not sure, but there are definitely plenty of them around and available for purchase.
Yes they did lol they got a 50 cc and 110cc
Does that piranha exhaust fit XR70?
I don’t really keep track of various retrofit compatibilities. Sorry.
@@brian.d.mobley I gotcha thank you
@@Stock_Skylineyes it does
Can anyone link those plastics in this comment
Just search ebay. There are plenty of options there.
build a pit track bike frame
Hey Innaki! I have so many bikes in my build queue right now, I’m never going to finish them all! But it sounds like a cool project!
@@brian.d.mobley there is a whatsapp number, sir so I can learn. I'm from Indonesia
@@Innaki16 Cool! Great surfing in Indonesia!
