    Description:
Roberto Duran. "Hands of Stone" or "Manos De Piedra". My all-time favourite fighter.
The greatest lightweight of all time. The greatest and most versatile in-fighter ever. The definition of pressure and relentlessness. He was both a smart and aggressive fighter who could crumble anyone in the same weight class with him in his prime. He won world titles in 4 different weight classes, had a 32 year long career, came from the lowest of circumstances in Panama and fought in 5 different decades all together. He fought before the first moon landing and fought after the turn of the millennium. The first man to defeat Sugar Ray Leonard in his (Leonard) weight class and prime and one of the few who survived a prime Marvin Hagler in a title fightt. He truly is the greatest light weight of all time and went 72 -1 before he got defeated by Sugar Ray Leonard in their infamous rematch. He was an intimidator that we have not seen since Sonny Liston. He started his career in 1968 at the age of 16 and ended his career in 2001 at age 50.

A classic boxer-puncher-swarmer. People think he was just a swarmer or in-fighter (which isn’t unforgivable because he is one of the greatest at close range) but he was more than that. He was a very versatile boxer-puncher who mastered the aspects of a swarmer and in-fighter. He had great defense, great speed, great power for a smaller man, great reflexes, great technique and underrated fighting intellect and he was a great counter-/body puncher to boot

Tommy hit Roberto harder than I've ever seen a boxer get hit before - he may as well run him over with his car. And while Roberto did not beat the count, he got up and walked out of the ring.
