Hey I have this lens and using it on m43 for now. But your setup is something i would like to try! How is the auto focus? Fast or slow? And is it reliable? Thanks in advance, julien.
This adapter’s focus speed is slow, for still subject is ok, no good on moving target. I usually will fry many shots for a good one. Although, there has a new version just out (techart pro lm-ea9), it may be better, I haven’t try it yet. Btw, this adapter only available for Sony and Nikons Z mount.
I use an FD 300mm F4L with 2X-A extender on GH5 and G9, for video, together with the 100-400 Leica. The resolution is supreme wide open, to focus well I need an external viewfinder. I guess there is no way to use an adapter like yours in m43, right? Only for sony? www.youtube.com/@CarloFerraro
Man, those are beautiful shots.
Brilliant results! Makes me wanna buy a sony and the adaptor to stop stressing on my focusing!
The current used Sony a7rii or a7ii should be in bargain price. BTW, this adapter also got a Nikon Z mount version.
I own the Canon EF 500mm 4.5L USM (15 years now), I guess it's the version after this one and these lenses are what I call .....real lenses !!!!
Agree! I have also surprise the image quality of the FD 500mm f4.5 as well. Consider the lens is around 40 years old now.
