We lose to many good men & women to addiction and suicide after they managed to survive hell in war. Please don’t give up on them.

The sounds he was making during the withdrawals and the way he started begging for just one more was very real sounding, and as someone who's had loved ones suffer from addiction of all types my protector instinct kicked into high gear. Every time he said just one all I could think of was holding him tight and telling him no.
